I, zammy67rocks5, am excited to announce myself as a candidate for a Class 3 Senate seat in NUSA.
SPEECH:
I may seem inexperienced to many of you, which is understandable, but I do have some experience, having previously been a Vice President of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am running in this campaign for one simple reason: People with foreign policy experience are needed to keep our country safe and running. And I know I have that experience needed.
As Senator, I will support all efforts to end the current war with the UK which I feel is a completely unnecessary war that is for petty reasons and not only doesn't protect NUSA, it only puts us in more danger. We need to cut down on these type of wars.
On top of foreign policy, these three issues are also important for me:
-Holding every government official accountable as they should always be working on behalf of th###eople.
-Creating more government and private sector jobs to boost the economy.
-Voting reform. Approval voting needs to replace first past the post as our voting system. Voters should be able to choose all candidates they like, not have to tactically vote, and candidates should have to be elected over 50% of voters. I believe this will increase voting turnout in all elections if implemented.

I am very well aware of why we're fighting. It's because the ###tocrats wanted Hawaii back for no reason but to create controversy.

Why can't we create jobs within already functioning government agencies? Also, private sector jobs are a part of the ###n so it won't require creating "useless government agencies"

Approval voting would make it easier to get over 50% because you can vote for more than one candidate. Wrong. This is ignorant of how approval voting works.
Let's say there's 3 candidates with 100 people.
60 are Candidate A fans, 40 are Candidate B fans. Let's say a Candidate C enters the race, and runs on similar positions to Candidate A. He/she takes 25 of Candidate A voters.
Candidate A, despite having a huge majority of people liking him/her, loses because our current system, plurality voting, lets you vote only for a single candidate:
Candidate A - 35 votes
Candidate B - 40 votes
Candidate C - 25 votes
In approval voting, sums can go over 100% because you vote for more than one candidate if you'd like. It'd end up like this then:
Candidate A - 60% approval
Candidate B - 40% approval
Candidate C - 25% approval |

i'm a justice do you think i care about political parties. zammy is my friend and i know he has the right ideas so yes i do support him to get elected. also don't make a fool of yourself and educate yourself on different polling systems; just because you don't know how they work does not mean they don't exist. you're criticizing him for political reasons not because of his policies; try again.
