I – Formations
RANK ⑊ Lining up shoulder-to-shoulder, forming a horizontal line. This is otherwise known as STS, shoulder-to-shoulder or side-to-side. The officer command "hold this position" is a rank to the right of the officer.
FILE ⑊ A column, otherwise known as SFL, single-file line. The ###icer command "on me" is a file behind the ###icer.
LINE OF BATTLE ⑊ Two ranks, not three, only two, one rank behind the other. In order to perform this, the farthest to the left of a given rank will fall back one step and shift toward the right behind the farthest to the right. The farthest to the left at this point will fall back just as the first soldier, shifting behind an open soldier to the right. If there are any extra soldiers that cannot fall behind another, they will fall back to the next rank. If done correctly, there should be a perfect and easy set of dual ranks.
STAGGER ⑊ A zigzag that is started from the officer’s side. The person near the officer moves back, skips a person, the next moves back, skips a person, the next moves back, etc.
WEDGE ⑊ A triangular-shaped formation that is filled with units within the triangle. Used to break enemy lines or moving in an armored stance. A filled-in arrowhead (see arrowhead below).
SQUARE ⑊ A square that is formed around the officer on four sides, all facing outward. One is placed in front of the officer, behind, and two for each shoulder. Used to defend from any cavalry attacks.
CIRCLE ⑊ A circular figure around the officer. Leave no spaces between each soldier. Mainly used to guard the officer from any ambushes or whenever surrounded by the enemy.
ARROWHEAD ⑊ A “V” figure formed by moving back only. No units are within the formation. Used as a guarding stance.
INVERTED ARROWHEAD ⑊ An upside-down “V” ###e formation, much like arrowhead but rather units will move up only. No units are within the ###mation. Used as a guarding stance.
FACE FORMATION ⑊ Similar to stagger. The closest soldier to the officer would instead about face, no moving back involved. Then skip one soldier, and then again about face, etc.
PLATOON ⑊ Soldiers will form a rank behind the officer when commanded to, with their eyes facing to the back of the officer.
WAVE ⑊ Spread-out rank in which soldiers move forwards in a barrage, mainly used to charge.
