One of the only things I was excited about with Trump was making the money we do spend more efficient. The US spends 600 billion per YEAR without the raise. We should be able to do what we already do with half that amount. You know there are tank factories in Arizona that is producing outdated tanks just because congress hasn't told them to stop? All the buerocracy with passing stuff. Saying "add this" and "add that" to projects that quadruple their costs. No reason we have to spend anywhere close to what we do. |

"free college would be 70 billion a year"
inaccurate.
Whenever the government is paying for something, the price gets a ton more expensive, as evidenced by student loans and healthcare.
Your rebuttal.

The idea of free college is that the taxpayers will pool in the money to pay for the people going to college.
With the barrier of cost being removed, those that could not afford college would be able to go. This would cut back the number of people joining military in order to get through college and this would raise the number of people actively studying, raising the intelligence level.
In a country that everyone could study, is a country that is stable. |

Also the reason why healthcare is super costly, is because it is privatized.
The idea of free healthcare is that the state/nation would provide for individual healthcare.
The prices of the medicine would not stay the same but instead be lower because it would be provided by the nation's health services or could be imported from different countries with lower pricing.
The point of privatizing the healthcare was to drive down the costs of essential care but instead the companies worked together to decide on prices that would be set on different health care services. I.E. Ambulances would costs thousands of dollars no matter where you get the ambulance from.

Now you're trying to argue against privatization and free market. I'm not going to argue with you. You don't know anything.

Community college should be free in the US. If you want to further your education, then that is of your own accord.
Gen Ed classes should not be required for incoming freshmen straight out of high school. There is no reason that you should take Gen Ed classes when you've been taking Gen Ed classes for 12 years prior.
Gen Ed classes should also be free in universities and colleges. They will be there for people who are not directly coming out of high school into college (ex: 40 year old getting a degree and needs refresher on Gen Ed stuff) or for people who still struggle in certain areas.
Reducing military spending will not initiate countries to attack the U.S. because
1. We're still a military superpower
2. No one wants war
3. The leading military spenders globally are allied (or on good terms) to the US (other than a couple).
