No deleting accounts. Say roblox is really popular in 10 years and it even has tv ads. Then if we quit rooblox, we might want to come back, but no! Some loser wanted old accounts deleted, and made the mods consider it!

@swmaniac Thats true and I think you shouldn't revive your post of a solution to this post but you should post it here.

@swmaniac Ya because its a lot easier to go on this to find it than to look throuh the forum. @everyone OK your saying if you have a popular place and then you lose it but earlier in this post I said there would be criteria like 10000 tix or 1000 R$ so if you have a popular place you dont get terminated. Also,if you have a high quality game then you know how to make one so make one again alot of th fun of roblox is building new places.

Ok. Here's my ancient thread. (From Auguest actually). [[When a user leaves Roblox, there is a button on their profile that sends a message to their (account recovery thing that is filtered for no good reason), with a button that says "Leave Roblox", when pressed, the system will change their username to "[UsernameHere] Quit" (Note the space, so no one can fake it). Then their username becomes availible, as it has been changed. If they suddenly decide leaving Roblox is a mistake, then they can go back, enter their pass and username, log on and press the "Return" button that has taken the place of the "Quit" button. Then their username returns to normal and any others that took it will become "[UsernameHere]1" and so on and so forth. And to keep people from spamming the account creation, there would be a report option for "Report Account as spam", then the admins would check the IP of the account against the list of IP's and if found that 1 IP has been spamming the account creation, that IP is banned, and all spam accounts deleted, and set to "Quit". But, in order to still allow alts, there would also be a "Mark as alt" button, which would send a friend request type message to the "Main" of the person, asking if this was REALLY their alt. If they mark yes, the person's username becomes "[Main'sUsernameHere]'s alt" (Again, note the space). Now, what to do with old accounts ALREADY inactive and taking names, a button called "Report account as inactive", would inform a mod that the account was inactive, and had not quit (It would be disabled on quit accounts). The mod would look at the account, and if he thought the account really was inactive, would put the account in the REVERSABLE quit status. Some accounts (Such as admins and mods) would not be able to assume the quit status to prevent impersonation. And for those accounts with Builders Club, if they did NOT have Lifetime but DID have BC, then their BC privalges would be suspended until they returned. At which time, they would come back. Any comments? Complaints? NOTE: This is a repost and expansion the other one was deleted, my speculation on why: the other one got so old that when I bumped it, it was deleted because the mod thought it was someone posting stuff to bump an ancient thread. Don't just say word.wall, I actually took the time to type this, you can take the time to read it or at least the small version below. Short version: Old accounts are placed into a reversable quit status, rather than being deleted.]] What do you think?

That is a great idea. One thing if someone quits then the personwho took their username quits then someone takes that username and then the first peron comes back would the last person become [usernamehere]12 or 11 or what but other than that great idea.

No. Let's look at this situation. Say I quit. Then someone else comes and takes my name. Then they quit, and someone takes their name. - The 2nd person's name would become "swmaniac Quit 1" When I come back, the names become. Me: swmaniac Other Person: swmaniac Quit Third person: swmaniac1 If there were a fourth person, their name would become "swmaniac2," or, if that name wasn't avalable: "swmaniac3"

@swimaniac "Unfair to those who may be locked out of their accounts before remembering their pass. Unfair for those who have internet troubles, cannot log on for a long term. Terminating them would provide no benefits. And if they had lifetime BC, would be completely unfair." YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH

Also, in case I didn't mention this in the original post - every time a user's name changes, all their assets change to link to the correct person and their friends get a message about the name change. The person's userID would not be affected, however he/she might have to edit his scripts.

I'm just_curious: whats the benefit of_deleting_old_accounts? Their_only-like 500~2000_KB_of_info,_and_altogether, thats_about_2~8TB (Terabyte, comes after_gigabite), and if I think_their_mainframe_is as_big_as_I_think_it_is (I'm guessing 50~100 Terabytes of_ROM), then deleting_accounts would just be miniscule_information.

1) Accounts are more likely barely 5 KB of info not counting their assets. 2) They have 28 servers, at absolute max each of them have 2 TB of data stored each. 28 * 2 = 56 TB of data max. More likely only 1 TB of data per server. I don't need to state the math for that.

No, No Very Unfair. Brickmason is a very famous Robloxian who has not logged in for like 2 or 1 years and He built The Pirate Ship almost all robloxians have seen today and we shall keep it as a memory

@mikeo Maybe if you read all the posts you would see that maybe there would be accounts to store the games of the terminated accounts and that swmaniac posted a great solution to that.

Pointless, reasons why. 1:Plenty of orginal names. look at my names and look up baronrubarb 2: There are plenty of people that don't want to go on for a while but do log in and log out for tix to save up. 3: unfair to those who don't get to do something, what if you lose your computer or can't get on. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT say that (they can go to a friends house or they can get a new one) if you play the what if game i say that a meteor hits the earth which dirupts its magnetic sensor breaking every mechanical device int he world, including computers. don't play the what if game, they are not going to make this.
