Ways to fix internet connection
First of all, this won't always impact "reach" as there are other factors towards your latency such as location.
1. Buy an Ethernet cable. An Ethernet cable provides faster speeds and lower latency. You can usually find these online, or they come with your router. If you don't have one at home, you can order one online for around £10. Make sure to measure the length between you and your router, and buy a cable that length.
2. Buy a WiFi Adapter. If your laptop does not have an Ethernet port, then it's best to buy a WiFi adapter. These look similar to a USB. You can order one online for about £10 and plug it into your PC/Laptop.
3. Move closer to your router Moving closer to your router provides better speeds and lower latency. You can also move your router closer to you. |

- Buy a new PC
- Buy a new wifi
- Check your specs of your PC
- Close all running apps in background

getting a new PC doesn't make your latency lower so yeah, you don't know anything about PCs.

1. no they don't
2. the only time you would need such a device is if you're using a laptop or if you don't have an ethernet connection available, in which case you're stupid and go get yourself some god damn ethernet connections.

1) not all PCs have one. in fact, i've almost never seen a desktop computer with one...and desktops are the majority of PCs.
2) generally only laptops use wifi, because a desktop isn't supposed to be moved (unlike a laptop).
3) if it's broken it literally wouldn't work. maybe use correct terminology when trying to be condescending?
4) i actually know quite a bit about computers. more than you, that's for sure.

@BMLGUY Actually, I do know what I'm talking about, most prebuilt PCs should come with a WIFI card, unless you want to use an Ethernet connection.
Most laptops have WIFI cards built in too, in addition, I was saying that if a WIFI card was to be broke etc, the connection to servers would be interrupted. Therefore, if a Desktop/Laptop you had with a broken WIFI card, you could get a new PC which would fix the problem tada! (That's if you dont have an ethernet cable).
And I highly doubt you know more than me about PCs because I've studied them for a while now, in school, and outside of school.

@deathrange07 Also, just because a computer doesn't move, doesn't mean it can't use WIFI, I have a computer in my other room with a WIFI card built into it, but I use an ethernet anyway. |
