any input from you college people presently, i dont think i care much about making friends, as i no longer seek validation through status and accomplishments but will my life be miserable if i commute? is dorming overrated?

You're gonna hate yourself for not living in the dorms. It's 75% of your freshman college experience You WILL get sick at least twice though, no matter how immune you are to sickness. Anything contagious and your entire hall will have it in less than a week.

@rune- what are the benefits? better social life, obviously, but what do you do in your free time that makes it so great? @vik- why? and do you have an apartment, or do you commute?

"You WILL get sick at least twice though, no matter how immune you are to sickness. Anything contagious and your entire hall will have it in less than a week." Agreed with this. My freshman year I got sick like once a month. Surprisingly enough though, I have yet to get sick this year. Possibly because I am on an internship full-time and I'm not in my room/on campus as much.
