Article V Amendments 1. Amendments may be added through Congress hearings at any time. 2. These amendments must have a petition signed by at least thirty-five people and passed through the State Supreme Court for ruling on its constitutionality. 3. The Senator or Representative officially sponsoring the amendment must be at least currently serving two terms or more otherwise the amendment will die. 4. The amendment must be approved by Congress and then signed by the Chief Justice, and Governor to be enacted into law. 5. Once the amendment is passed, it is added to the Constitution and Bill of Rights to become official.
