Be it enacted by the Las Vegas City Council, AN ACT To establish a board with the purpose managing and collecting information regarding approved businesses. SECTION I. MAKE-UP OF THE BOARD The board shall compose of one Chairman, one Vice Chairman, 6 members and the developer of Las Vegas. SECTION II. FUNCTIONS AND AUTHORITIES The board shall be responsible for- Establishing and maintaining a business database with the purpose of providing the Council, Mayor and the American people with information regarding the condition and expansion or contraction of the local ####### sector. To that end, the board shall publish local business reports, which shall include but is not limited to, data on- (i) employments, layoffs and new hires (ii#####b######business establishments (ii######b######business formations and failures; (b) publishing a monthly report giving a comparative and interpretational analysis of historical trends reflecting subparagraph (a) of this subsection. (c) making contracts and cooperative agreements with any priv#######anization. SECTION III. APPOINTMENTS AND REMOVALS The Mayor of Las Vegas shall appoint the Chairman and three members of the board. (b) The Las Vegas City Council shall appoint the Vice Chairman and three members of the board through a majority vote for each nomination. (c) The Las Vegas City Council may remove members of the board and the board may remove its own members with a vote of ⅔’s.
