You should be able to create whitelists for your places, groups, VIP servers, messages and forum posts.
----------------
Here's an explanation on what whitelisting people will do.
Places - if the game is made private, it will allow access to anyone on your whitelist. People are otherwise "banned" from the place until the whitelist is deactivated.
Groups - anyone on your whitelist will have their posts and shouts highlighted on the group page. If you own the group, anyone on the whitelist will also be able to instantly join even if the group requires approval to join.
VIP servers - anyone on your whitelist will be able to join VIP servers that you own.
Messages - any messages sent to you by anyone on your whitelist will have their messages highlighted in your inbox or archive.
Forum posts - anyone on your whitelist will have threads that they have created or replied to highlighted in the subforum.
----------------
You will be able to toggle certain features of the whitelist on and off for individual users. So if you want to let "Player A" access your VIP server, but you don't want to have their messages highlighted, you can do that.
