An offline version would have to be downloaded to the device to get it to run. Not a big problem with iPod Touches, but first-gen iPhones only have 8gig of harddrive space. ~{Idiots are fun. No wonder every village wants one.}~

Isn't ROBLOX already downloaded? I found out how to build offline awhile ago, but there are a few problems with it. I already did have a downloaded version of ROBLOX on it: ROBLOX studio. I had to use the internet to get started with it in the first place, but once you're in it you can unhook your internet. The way you get parts is actually already downloaded into your comp with studio: Insert>Object It would be easy to fix the problems I have encountered with it. And I assume no need for an internet connection = less lag. 8gig is no problem, because an offline version actually wouldn't add anything to your ROBLOX program(Unless they wanted to make it very cool & high-tech).

You can use the studio offline, provided you have all of the objects that you need first. You could build offline on an iPhone/iPod Touch, but it'd take a long time to upload and building would probably be a nightmare, unless they come out with something really clever. ~{Idiots are fun. Like I said, the objects are already downloaded to your comp with ROBLOX studio. To use the "insert" page you need an internet connection, but Insert>Object comes with ROBLOX Studio. So I can build offline in ROBLOX anytime I want without downloading anything new.

Yeah. I mean, you'd be screwed if you needed a flag-stand but forgot to get one before you went offline, but it'd work. Still, the issue is how the building would work. It's condensing a lot into a little. Plus, I wonder how well it would render. iPhones and iPod Touches are capable of 3D, but it might look a little awkward, especially when you consider that you'd be shrinking entire levels into such a small screen. ~{Idiots are fun. Yes, they are really expecting a lot from whoever they will hire in the future.

Yeah. Porting to Mac is fine, it's essentially the same. Porting to a small hand-held device would be nigh-impossible. But if they manage to do it, I'd get it. ~{Idiots are fun. No wonder every village wants one.}~

Roblox for Mac would be awesome. Thanks for explaining this. HOWEVER, you CAN already play Roblox on the Mac, if you buy Parallels and download Windows onto your Mac. Also, it's kind of stupid how people say that you can't right click on a Mac. One: you can use a series of clicks and button pressing. Two: you can hook a PC mouse to your Mac.

Ah, but Parallels isn't running ROBLOX on a Mac. It's running ROBLOX on a Windows emulator on a Mac, which would be very taxing on the CPU. It's also expensive.

Performance on unix based computers is better than on PCs. And roblox does support openGL mode, although the REAL PROBLEM IS: ITS WRITTEN IN VISUAL C++!!!

You can actually get a program for mac to run a WindowsPC on it. That way you can play roblox on the Mac Anyway

Yeah, I'm not talking about booting ROBLOX on a Windows emulator, I'm talking about an actual program on a Mac. ~{Idiots are fun. No wonder every village wants one.}~

And emulators are so expensive just to run a couple of things. IF anyone is going to go down the emulator route then i would suggest VirtualBox its free all you have to do is get a copy of windows and there you have it.
