This is a basic FAQ on Western Frontier.

Q: What is Western Frontier?
A: Western Frontier is a new role-playing based group on the 1700's fur trade in the Americas. We want to provide an environment that only the player's imagination limits them. You want to become a brigand and steal, ransom, and terrorize the players? Sure! Want to become a ruler of an empire and crush your enemies? Sure!
Q: Are there resources? Gold, iron, etc?
A: Yes! In Western Frontier we have timber, ore, fur, arms, and of course, gold. These resources are everywhere on the in-game map. As a player, you can order construction of mines, farms, or black market arms dealing. You can use these resources to bargain, build towns/fortifications, and become the wealthiest and most powerful of all.
Q: Can we build our own towns, forts, or other settlements?
A: Yes! In Western Frontier, we want to be historical but to also allow free construction of whatever a player wants. There will be the major cities, forts, and ports already on the in-game map but you can use your resources to build a grand fort, or a small village.
Q: How does combat take place?
A: There are many options for players and combat. We allow KO Raids, or the use of our own system that can take up to hours to battle it out. If you want to learn more about our system then please contact a staff member.
But of course, we also have a completely different way to attack and defend in the group. As a player, you're allowed to recruit NPC Soldiers to use to your will. Now these NPC Soldiers aren't actually in-game when you fight, but more like Risky Strats. You are able to attack other NPC Soldiers, forts, villages, etc using this force when you may not have the actual players online or ready to fight. Q: Can I create my own faction?
A: Sadly no, we will only have certain factions available. However you can create your own Native American tribe, or Frontier Company inside that faction!
Q: How do I become a staff member?
A: Help the group in whatever way you can, show that you're able, and active. This doesn't mean you will get a chance though.
Q: This seems complicated, how will I remember everything?
A: Just come back and look at all of our forums, or even ask a staff member if you're confused about something.
Q: Will there be NPC Brigands, or mercenaries that I have to worry about?
A: Yes and no, NPC Brigands will be a thing but they won't always directly attack you. They may have a camp set up you can attack to gain resources, men, or technology. You will also be able to pay NPC Mercenaries with gold or other resources they may want to help you against your enemies.
Q: How do I recruit soldiers?
A: In your settlements, you are able to build Recruit Posts. This will give you one soldier daily from that settlement. As you expand this town, you will be able to upgrade it to a max of five soldiers daily from that settlement. This may be slow but we don't want it to be too over-powered.
Keep in mind there are tons of ways to recruit soldiers other than this. You can conscript, capture enemy soldiers and force them to fight for you, etc!
