There are 3 golden rules to get promoted:
#1. Be Loyal.
#2. Be Active.
#3. Use Grammar.
Knowing them will let you obtain higher and higher ranks.

Here are some basic informations how to get specific rank:
I: Worshipper of Hermes - Be accepted into the group.
II: Servant of Transition - Buy the uniform.
III: Trainee of Transition - Attend to the training.
IV: Hoplite of Transition - Attend to the training and be promoted.
V: Champion of The Trickster - Win Champion Tournament. (There can be only one)
6: Captain of Hoplite - Directly chosen by a HR. Prove your loyalty to the House.
VII: Guardian of Hermes - Skilled and obligatory member of the house. Need to be tesed by it's commander.
VIII: Head Guardian of Hermes - Chosen from the guards. Stands out with skills.
IX: The Transition Guard - Highly disciplined member that proved his loyalty and skills. Needs to be tested by it's commander.
X: Commander of The Transition Guard - Chosen from the transition guards. Obligatory and skilled member.
XI: Allied God - God of allied group.
XII: Council of Hermes - Executive authority in the administration of the house. To be chosen by Hermes himself.
XIII: Demi-God - Hermes's childrens, specially chosen by himself.
XIV: Hermes - Not obtainable.
