This guide will show you what to do and what not to do as a Head Barista so that you can achieve an Interviewers position with Glazéd! Do's: It is important that Head Barista's spend most of their time working behind the counter, since this shows you are motivated to be apart of our team and shows you are capable of representing Glazéd in a professional manner. It is recommended that you wear the 1.0 character package (No package at all) with a semi-formal attire. Head Barista's should also be helpful to our Baristas that are confused about the drinks, about how to deal with trollers, rules, registers, or are just in need for help, this shows that you are capable of assisting and giving advice to other people, which is an important part of being an MR. You should remember to always be respectful to everyone no matter their rank. We don't want to see our Head Barista's being disrespectful to customers, baristas, or any of the MR/HRs. Activity is also important to maintain. The fastest way to get promoted is to be consistently active while following the suggestions in this guide. If you are on for even just a couple hours each day, you will most likely be noticed rather than someone who is on 12 hours one day and then not at all for the next three. Don'ts: One of the worst things to do as a Head Barista is to seek for attention instead of working hard for the promotion. For example, asking an MR/HR for a drink when they didn't go to your register will be seen as seeking for a promotion. You'll be noticed from your hard work while serving customers, not by asking an HR if they want a drink. Similarly, you should avoid giving trollers several warnings. Instead, they should be reported directly to an MR/HR that is at the cafe or warned once depending on what they’re doing. Reports should include their name and not for us to just walk over to you. We want to be able to check the chatlogs to see if they have done something wrong. Overall, you want to avoid being inactive or inconsistently active if you can help it. The more active you are, the better your chances are at receiving a promotion. If you still have any other questions then please ask any available MR/HR. Created on 4/26/17 Verified by Glazéd HRs
