In game, it still uses the hat system rather than the accessory system, which is very inconvenient when scripting anything that relies on the players' hats being accessories.
All hats are supposed to be accessories now, as far as I know. For some reason, this got released as a hat at a time when accessories were already a thing, which is probably how it passed the multiple checks to make sure all hats were turned into accessories.
