AD10 releases this week, here’s the update log
This is the first total rescript of everything since 2013 so this will properly handle FilteringEnabled and run much faster
SINGLE-ARENA SPECTATING
The number of arenas drops from 6 to 1 with custom made, modern duel spectating. Individual players can choose which duel they want to watch and have it display for them in the arena. Players you're not watching duel aren't even rendered locally, cutting down on lag no matter if you're dueling or not. On top of that, if you're dueling, you can choose to see nothing besides your ongoing duel.
DITCH THE PADS WITH DUEL REQUESTS
It's now faster, easier, and simpler to duel exactly who you want. Click on a player and select "Duel" to request a duel, and your duel begins as soon as they accept. For those that want to randomly duel using the pads we've always had, those are still there, and you can turn off duel requests in the new settings panel.
DEDICATED PARTNER 2V2 WITH HOOKS
All new hooks allow you to create a physical "hook" between you and a partner, allowing you to easily 2v2 with that partner. Just click someone and select "Hook" to send a hook request. To 2v2 with your hook, just step on a dueling pad. The partner pad next to it will be temporarily disabled for 3 seconds. The only one who can override the disable is your partner, giving your partner 3 seconds to step on your pad without any trouble from people trying to duel. Eventually, duel requests via the duel request system will support 2v2.
MODERN UX REVAMP
We're ending support for the board around the spawn with a new interface that puts information directly on your screen when you want it. To view player stats & info, just click on the player. To view duel info or change the duel you're watching, just hover your mouse over the arena. Everything is upfront, easy and intuitive to use, and only displayed when you want it to be.
MORE WAYS TO CUSTOMIZE
The new sword customization UI allows you to customize sword color, texture, display on character when not dueling, and where your sword spawns when dueling. More customization will come soon. Most new sword customization features will be completely free besides the usual color and texture.
DUEL SPONSORSHIPS
The old group advertisement board was meaningless and didn't actually help the recruiters. Our new system takes recruiting in game to a whole new level. For a reasonable price, your group can “sponsor” a number of duels. Before these duels begin, your group’s name and logo will appear on their screen. This personalized message lets the player know you’re interested enough in their duel to spend some money, and encourages them much more than before to join. |

I like "SINGLE-ARENA SPECTATING" I like the idea but it feels empty..I dont know

No, this means that you can either have your sword appear in your inventory/tool bar when a duel starts, or have it already equipped when a duel starts.
As for previous concerns, glitching is pretty much fixed, and yes, top 10 leaderboards are ONLY accessible via your personal profile UI. |
