I kind of see ROBLOX as a game Engine. With crappy performance (bottlenecked mechanics that LOVES to crash a lot on x64 systems wile hogging up the memory) of course to spice up things.

To all of the people who put ROBLOX in the last spot, I'll ask you a few questions.
1. Why did you even decide to join ROBLOX?
2. What do you now use ROBLOX for?
3. Why are you even here now?
Also to the bad game engine performance issue. I have never experienced lag on my computer, and I am using an iMac. Macs are very unpopular in the gaming industry, I remind you. I only suffered a constant amount of lag on a 2010 SONY laptop. which I rarely use.
I agree with the fanbase part though, it is what ruins this game.

It's likely that it's one of two reasons
1) They go on the forums but don't actually play the games.
2) Possibly to bait people.

Reponse 1: It's likely they haven't touched any games since the early 2010's. They must've played ROBLOX before it even started to gain traction. So nostalgia bias might take a part in this.
Response 2: Not very likely. They actually can be honest about their rating and tell why. |

There are only 2 alternatives that come close to ROBLOX.
Minecraft and Blockland.
Minecraft doesn't have the same variety as ROBLOX but it's more popular and has more talented players.
That does not mean Minecraft is better than ROBLOX. Minecraft has a mixed fanbase. Some like to collab and build awesome things (like ROBLOX's developers) other like to destroy stuff and troll players.
Blockland is the closest alternative to ROBLOX. Although less popular, it's fanbase is much more ###### and tolerant. It is pay to play so that might be one of the reasons why it's not as popular. Sadly less players=less games to play=less creativity.
There is a reason why ROBLOX calls itself the "Imagination Platform". It gives the developers the ability to create anything they want with some skill.
ROBLOX is not just a site to hang out and post on the forums and that is not what ROBLOX is only good for. If you go past the front page and into less popular games you will see the true creativity of smaller developers.

Update: ROBLOX is now 1 spot away from top half as of now. This year in updates has been good when compared to the last two years but not great compared to 2012.
