Warning: this thread contains a LOT of math.
One thing I've noticed driving fast cars around my place is that it takes the same time to reach from 0-60 as it does to, say, 110-170.
This manner is not very realistic at all.
What I think ROBLOX should do is create a formula for cars speeding up, such as the formula y=2x-x² (y0),(x0), where the x axis would be time, and y axis would be speed.
This creates the following effect.
Time-------Speed
0.1---------0.196
0.2---------0.363
0.3---------0.519
0.4---------0.648
0.5---------0.756
0.6---------0.848
0.7---------0.917
0.8---------0.965
0.9---------0.994
1.0---------1.000
Notice how It takes about 0.3 of the time to get to half of its top speed, and takes almost 0.7 of the time to get to 90% of its top speed.
This would create a much more realistic effect.
The time it takes to reach its top speed can be edited.
Thats because not all cars go from 0-60 in, say, 7.4 seconds.
A good car might hit it in, say, 6 seconds, while someone designing a compact street-common car, that is to say, a car that does not have good performance, would do that same equivalent of speed (lets say this car has 3/4ths the top speed of the top performance car), 0-45, in maybe 9 seconds.
This could show up as an easily editable value inside the Vehicle Seat's values to change.
Dang, this sounds like a Wikipedia article.
