I think we're all angered by the extreme filter. I mean, even "k" is censored sometimes. But why did ROBLOX implement this useless update? Practically, it's pointless, since people will always just find a way to exploit the system. Though, there's the main reason why this update is here.
Media.
If you guys haven't known, for the past few months, the media has been "attacking" ROBLOX, for being a pr.dator nest. This is obviously false, and I don't know how ROBLOX gives in to this.
There are multiple reasons to why ROBLOX gives in to the media. First, to not stain their reputation. On Youtube, Epikrika gave a good point about this topic, and I suggest you watch it. To make the media stop "attacking," ROBLOX must implement useless, extreme updates to "block" the pr.dators. This, of course, does not work. The media always finds a way to attack a certain subject. Let's take the attack on Pewdiepie from the WSJ, for example. The Wall Street Journal "attacked" PewDiePie for having "antisemitic" views. Obviously, this was false, but people still bought into it. Advertisers drew away from YouTube, and many people were left without advertisements. This is what ROBLOX fears. People will think that ROBLOX is horrific, full of child pr.dators and criminals. This, of course, is false.
Because of these chains of events, ROBLOX has done so many counterproductive updates that it's literally making me go insane, along with the rest of the community. There have been outcries to stop this filter. But of course, ROBLOX still listens to the media. If there are any mods reading this, you have permission to say otherwise, but at least modify the filter or don't listen to the media. You're staining your reputation even more as you're shoving "Powering Imagination!!1" in our faces while doing the opposite.

It's the parents fault that they let their children talk to strangers.

ROBLOX has to listen to the media, because parents watch the news and go online to see what exactly their children are playing. When the parents stumble upon the exaggerated fake news, they automatically think all this crap is true, and force their kids to stop playing ROBLOX. ROBLOX loses money in the end. |

Also, anyone that says roblox is a virus has mental issues.
1. If your kids gets a virus from it, it's not caused by it
2. Why do people say roblox, face block, insta grem, etc are viruses? That's like saying windows 7 is a virus, or steam is a virus. |
