Welcome to the In The Huddle (ITH) =RFL= Preseason Rankings!
The Season's First Week of Games gets started on Friday and continues through Sunday.
Here are the Preseason Rankings based on Conference and the teams projected finish.
*The two teams expected to miss the playoffs from each conference are not listed.
North Conference (NoCo):
1. Jamestown (6-0)
WHY: They have the best players, the best NoCo#### ### their corners are the best. Period.
2. Remi#########kets (4-2 but more likely 3-3)
WHY: They lost their coach, but they have the tools (practice stadium, group) and have an 8 man practice squad. Hard to beat that.
3. Stonecreek Raiders (3-3)
WHY: While the Phenoms firmly rule the NoCo, it is much easier in the NoCo’s Red div, which is up for Grabs. This year, the Raiders should finally break through and make a run to the playoffs. They have a soft schedule, so this is their chance.
4. Crownsville Kings (3-3 but likely 2-4)
WHY: Yes, it’s hard to be in the same division as the Phenoms but the coaches’ seat is getting warmer in Crownsville heading into this season. They (the Kings) need a great season for their coach to get good free agents and keep his job. Another losing season is just not going to cut it this time.
Southern Conference (SoCon):
1. Springfield Bengals (5-1)
WHY: This is a team that would probably go 4-2 in the NoCo, but in the SoCon their only real threat is the Mammoths. This team is loaded with talent and will do well this year. If they can beat the Phenoms in Week 3 we’ll find out if this team is a legit championship contender.
2. Monte Mammoths (4-2)
WHY: Monte restocked with some good free agents, tweaked some coaching, and had a solid draft class. The Elephant in the Room is whether they can knock off their rival Springfield. This team should still brawl their way to the SoCon finals in the playoffs.
3. Barrington Jays (2-4)
WHY: Barrington is just not convincing enough for us to give them more than 2 wins. They have a hard schedule, and they can get to 3 wins if they play well, but they have to prove themselves first. Key game is Week 2 vs. Springfield.
4. Venton Beasts (2-4)
WHY: This team is rebuilding but they are on the right track. The key for this season is convincing their players that they are playing for the future of this franchise. They have a softer schedule this year and are playing in a weak SoCon blue division. Should be an interesting team to watch.

- Red City (2-4)
- Farnoka (1-5)
- Redwood (1-5 but likely 0-6)
The following Categories are real predictions, but also are fun and controversial. That being said, here they are…
