"What time is it this time?" I ask and take a sip of my coffee. "Eight-thirty," replies Fang, almost silently. "That early? What has gotten into him?" I wonder out loud and Maximus shrugs. "The parties normally start at like ten, not eight-thirty," I say. "Why don't you just call him and ask? He really only answer the phone when you call," pipes up Maximus. I sigh, knowing he was right even if I didn't want to call Fang. I wasn't going to call him, I'll just attend the party instead, just like I normally did. |

"I'll see you then." I say, standing up. I rough up Maximus' hair before I walk out the door and open my parasol back up. Fang... what are you thinking this time? I wonder and head down the sidewalk, twirling my parasol while texting a few people about the party tonight. |

"Nope," I call over my shoulder. I didn't want to get involved with the preppies, they'd claw my eyes out if they realized I was trying to communicate with the 'living'. I'll just stay with my own kind, thank you. I continue to walk and was tempted to call Fang, but decided not to. |

I talk with Fang while I walk home. The way Fang was talking, he just wanted to chat, nothing else. I was partially relieved that he just wanted to talk. |
