Okay, really bad metaphors aside, this is a forum post to help stop 3 major "plagues" on ROBLOX. I will be going in full depth, as far full as I can, on what they are and what we can do to stop them.
To give you an idea about what I'll be talking about, my version of "The Two Plagues" is:
-Safechat
-Spam Bots
All will be explained in the order of that list, starting with:
SAFECHAT
This used to be fine, and easy to get around. However, little kids were bypassing the system and completely broke what safechat tried to do: Stop these like 7 yr olds from saying "naughty" stuff on ROBLOX.
So############### buff upgrade. Being under 13, or some age like that, would enable privacy mode: You can't change the date, and HELLO SUPER-SAFECHAT!
Super-Safechat is what I'll be calling the privacy safechat. It's about ten times more strict than any normal safechat, say, a 15 year old would have.
Super-Safechat is also super-strict. Think your safechat is bad, fellow 15 year old? You should try making a new account and putting it in privacy mode. Try playing any communication based game.. like Khol's Admin House, where you always talk, even though it's just for commands. (Actually don't play Khol's "Abuser" House... almost every server there has an abuser, BC or NBC version.) While the commands still work, in chat it'd look like:

Heck, even names get safechat problems. Prime example: Some people have tried to say my name only for it to turn out has "########" instead of "Jubscore"! Some people have to call me "score" dangit!
And now for the weaker safechat: safechat. The oldie normal one that used to apply for everyone, but now only if
A. You are 13 or above.
B. You sneakily changed your age before it was set to 12 or under.
This safechat is still REALLY bad, however. Example: My friend was asking about a release date for a thing I was working on. I tried to message him "one to two weeks" but it always safechat'd "one" and "two." For crying out loud, ANY number is pretty much safechat'd. You'd have to say "f i v e" to just say five. Even "one" can't be saved by "o n e" or "ONE" or something like that. I have only the smallest idea why'd numbers are safechat'd.. but I don't wanna go into that for reasons.
So, how do we fix it?
THE SOLUTION:
Use key words and phrases to block it out. Block cuss words, AND ONLY THAT SPECIFIC SET OF TWO NUMBERS IN THE 60s, slang, racial terms, etc. Just blocking literally everything isn't going to work.
Now, for spaces and adding "x" or "." or something in between each letter is also fixable. If the word is unknown, just take the letters and see if they spell anything. (You can train a bot to do this.) Scramble them around until you get a result. If so, safechat it.
Also, "tags" or "tagger" is now a thing, so probably change the safechat letters from "#####" to, say, " ". Way easier, and makes it virtually impossible to decode what they meant.
Finally, to ensure strictness on safechat is less strict for the older kids, and no just because you are 13 doesn't mean you still aren't a kid, make the appearance of safechat apply locally.
What I mean is, say we got two ROBLOX users:
One is 14.
One is 9.
With this one line of text, "Hey, noob face" it'd appear like this:
"Hey, face" (9 year old)
"Hey, noob face" (14 year old)
In fact, there is some evidence that I've picked up that this is already a thing: When talking with two friends, me and one friend can hear me say "52k" but the other would see "###".
This concludes the first plague: Safechat. I hope we can fix that one, as it is the second most annoying. I can't even speak in party chat without maybe 50 "non-sent moderated" messages no one saw. Also, they are just "######" so I don't even know what I said.
SPAM BOTS
This one is a lot worse, as it has actual consequences and account-losses due to this. I'm sure, even if you have dirt nothing R$, you've gotten a spam bot asking you to "head over to this nifty site for free R$" and it links you to this "totally not fake" site asking for your account stuff and shoving a survey asking for real life stuff and personal info. If you even LOOK remotely minimum rich, you've probably gotten about 300% more of these. (I've gotten like 20 friend requests from spam bots in 12 hours and I'm not famous.) This one also applies to comments: Wondered why 90% of items and games have comments disabled? Look at any game or item that DOES have comments enabled:
90% spam bots
5% copy and paste images
4% try my game or group or whatever
1% legit feedback
This doesn't require much explaining because EVERYONE AND THEIR GRANDMA HAS GOTTEN A SPAM BOT MESSAGE, "README" "ROBLOX" or "CLICK ON ME" FRIEND REQUEST, OR SEEN A COMMENT TELLIN YOU HOW TO GET FREE R$.
Seriously.
THE SOLUTIONS:
A. Use a bot. Have it scan comments and wall posts and bio posts AND WHATEVER to look for key phrases like "free R$" (not just free please don't) or "(huge number) R$ for free" or things spammers commonly spam. ALSO, IF THERE'S A LINK IN IT, JUST DON'T EVEN LET THEM POST IT. Also, to ensure that once they try once that can't do a quick fix, if they try to post a link or are detected to have any of these common spammer key phrases, temp ban the account. Since most bots are run in the background while the actual PEOPLE are looking at the site and seeing who gave up their stuff, the ban could disable it until they either find out or the ban is lifted. You could even just make it like a "communication ban" thingy where they can't comment post or anything for a couple of days. If they do it again completely disable the posts for GOOD. (Including chat. Make them go the way of a guest.)
If you end up with a user of the same IP trying to pull the same stuff, you could straight up IP ban them, because you already can, and it go like Canadian pennies: Slowly going out of existence until never there again.
B. This one only works for FR bots, just allow us to disable FRs. I once said if I got another wave of spam bot FRs I'd disable FRs, only to get one later, and finding out I can't disable them.
This concludes the second plague: Spam bots. I hope we can efficiently destroy these bots for good, or at least for a bit. We need a grace period. It's annoying.
Now, there are the two most annoying things of ROBLOX and how we can fix them. I wanted to do a post for each but this seems better.
If you have feedback, and aren't trying to scam me, post it, but refrain from the insults like and the "noob"s and "no-lifer"s and actually tell me what's wrong instead of making most of it third-degree sloppy roasts to make you feel better about being 9 on the forums.
