well if i dont do that it overheats really quickly like i've watched the temp
100% keeps it at a stable 50-->52*C while gaming + air conditioner making me freeze irl

well not always overheating but on some certain games it reaches temps like uh 65*C
70*C that's where i start making my gpu's fan go 100%
and start the air conditioner for extra cool down

Ashley for the love od god do not buy a titan Z lol.
Its basically just two GTX 780 dies slapped together and its a housefire with serious microstutter issues.
Dual GPU just means sli/crossfire in one slot pretty much. I use to own an R9 295x2, which was a housefire. |

I know i know, but Linus says: "It's like two Titans in one" He didn't say Titan X or Titan XP but Titan is a damn good budget graphics card (Was once a beast)
I though of picking one up for crypto-currency mining as i though it would pay for itself, but the prices are ridiculous (Average price: 2500 Max: 3000 Minimum: 500)
I think i'll just wait for 1090 to be released and save up for it or 1080 (Lmao summer jobs)

I suggest actually getting a second 1070 and going with SLI if you want a performance upgrade. A 1080 is only about 20% better than the 1070, but a 1070 SLI configuration is about 35-40% better. If you have the PSU for it then that would be the best choice from a price to performance standpoint.
And dont bother with home cryptocurrency mining. No home user is going to be able to put a dent into whats out there, and its not very economical with power hungry cards running 24/7. Thats why the cycle works the way it does.
One currency goes up in value, tech news sites hype it up, idiots buy up current generation cards en masse, realize that theyre barely making a profit and sell the cards all off for nothing a couple of months later.
Thats why an R9 280x use to be 500$ and then shortly after the bcoin bubble they dropped to like 100 bucks, people wanting to get their money back.
It will happen again, home mining isnt even close to profitable anymore. Its all corporate ASIC farms now.
For a comparison of how little a single current gen GPU would do, i have access to my works brand new render farm rack, its a total of 36 Quadro GP100's, and even that thing has nowhere near the power required to compete with asic racks and the cost of power to run it would just barely be below the profit margin. |

Good idea, i'll try out SLI.
Though it will take time to save up for another 1070, a brand new one costs 400-500 while a used one is 350-450. What do you think?
