I think we can all agree thst the latest update has been a public relations shambles for Roblox, with what amounted to rioting on the forums and the mass raiding of rhe Roblox HQ game as forms of protest. However it need not have happened, there are so many easy things that could be done to prevent further problems with new updates, so I've decided to list a few and let you all discuss, suggest your own, and state your approval/disapproval so that hopefully roblox can improve for next update. 1. Moderation: Whilst I can see why you wanted to delete forums and shutdown servers at roblox HQ I think this clearly exacerbated the problems, especially when someone deleted a rather large petition (made before the current one), as all that did was spread the one forum into thirty or forty different forums. I think you need to have a proper thought out contingency for situations such as a new update falling sour, so as to prevent a different response from each and every one of your mods and admins, and to prevent making the situation worse. 2. Communication: I do not understand why we don't have proper communication with the Roblox community outside of the devforum. So many games nowerdays explain update before they are released, giving players detailed patch notes, explanations as to why changes are being made etc. Why was it that only until a riot started were most of us informed of the reasoning behind the update? I think it would be logical to use your blog to announce all updates with detailed patch notes where possible, to keep people informed. This could be combined with the banners you tend to use to announce twitch streams/maintenance, e.g. Update coming xx:xx, update notes located here: Secondly, after major updates you need to have mods and admins reading the forums and looking for fall out, not deleting it mind you, simply being ready to explain on forums about the update, that I am sure would be much apprecisted by a community you usually leave in the dark. 3. Thinking through updates: I hope you already do this roblox, but if you don't, here it is. You should be carefully thinking through the pros and cons of every update so as to understand as fully as possible the effect it will have on the roblox community, from clans to traders to developers. You could do this a number of ways, such as (to list a few): focus groups; polls; trial runs; beta servers; discussions with the community; stress testing; asking community leaders (upstanding members of the community) etc. If you did this I doubt you'd meet so much toxicity with new updates, as you'd have already consulted the community, realised who is affected, and prepared your points and discussion points which you could arm your mods and admins with, as opposed to having them delete any opposition. 4. Being prepared to admit you were wrong, and being happy to revert updates: Not everyone gets everything right. Plenty of people reading this post will have got something wrong at some point. Instead of deleting opposition you should be open to saying: "we didn't think of the effect on groups", etc, as opposed to deleting all opposition or coming up with 50 different promised patches as per the current devforum post. 5. Trust: Honestly, I doubt there are very many people that trust you deliver a perfect update currently. If you read fhe forums you'd realise that a lot of people discuss roblox update failures and how they are damaging roblox. If you keep adding to the negativity it's not going to change. If you work with the community properly to discuss things, work them out, and logically and constructively deal with issues then you will find people would be more willing to support you on topics, as opposed to spamming their opposition. Conclusion: Clearly I'm not an expert in development etc, but I think at least maybe ### ## ## ###### Is worth discussing and thinking about, and I'd love to see a mod or admin reply because that'd clearly show a step in the right directiom. For the rest of you feel free to mock my suggestions, add your own, support or disagree, just keep it civil. Thanks, I hope this helps with your clear community communication problems Roblox.

Note: I realise that some of my suggestions may already be used in practice, but currently they are clearly not working, or roblox is ignoring them, or doesn't care.

Support. There is nothing to discuss. ROBLOX needs to stop being a "tea-party", where you cross your legs, sit in a chair, and keep quiet. ROBLOX is spending time making updates that ruin their reputation, and not to mention their user's happiness. ROBLOX, stop wasting time on updates that add negativity. Work on the stuff that actually needs help. Such as those god dam scamming bots spamming my friend requests or PMing me with scam sites. Wake up please.

YES PLEASE SUPPORT TIMES 1 MILLION ROBLOX, you should not have your PLAYERS and community making better and efficient ways to run your website. That is YOUR job, NOT OURS.

Wing that is the thing. The update is MEANT to deal with the scamming bots, but they decided not to inform anyone except through a single mod and a devforum post AFTER the rioting against the update began.

Ah I didn't realize. But the solution to that is, the same thing they did to the forums. Just do a captcha test to prove they're not bots. Not block all servers.

What I like about the post @Valk made, is that it's not being hostile towards ROBLOX in anyway. Other posts usually do, and ROBLOX doesn't really want to read just the negative parts. Valk has provided constructive criticism, which is hard to get these days. He has shown the issue at hand, and provided his own way of solving it.
