Pre K - 60 and K - 60 Lore: https://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=221241762 *This post also includes factions and locations in the game. A mere few hours after Suzhou burst into flames, the fires started to spread into other cities, creating a 'wall of doom', or a wall of flames, leaping towards industrial centres at high speeds. This soon reached Shanghai 2 days later, with firefighters trying to save the city's suburbs from the flames, as well as the city itself, being one of China's main ports. Eastern areas of China soon became subject to panic, as communications to parts of the south east, as well as Taiwan and even as far as some islands in South Korea were cut, as well as a shutdown of many AI services, electrical devices and power grids in the Shanghai area. As a result, Beijing ordered an evacuation in the area, with towns and villages thought to be at risk evacuated. Three days into the disaster, the Chinese government released the news to the world. The world soon went into a state of slight panic, with the fear that another engine, or perhaps a whole facility, could catastrophically explode near a large city being dominant. As a result, all K-60 and K - 61 spacecraft engines were disposed of, and fusion engines were banned worldwide, By the start of March 2123, the last of the flames died out. A massive part of the Shanghai area was now a burnt out wasteland. Suzhou, once one of China's prized cities, was now a ruin. An estimated 1 - 1,6 million were killed in the month-long disaster, which the Western World often called the "Shanghai Crisis". The government soon imposed a exclusion zone around what remained of Suzhou in 2125, and anyone who enters is often threatened with arrest without government permission to enter. This, however, failed to stop some mourners entering the zone to mourn their loved ones. The government also ordered a small part of the city to be rebuilt, creating a new town of around 60,000. The exclusion zone, of the ( game's ) current year, 2150, is an overgrown place, almost like a national park. The area is still an exclusion zone, despite more reforms by the new Chinese government, now a more liberal state than in the 2120's. Burnt out ruins are still commonplace in the area, with some skyscrapers and buildings still visible even from outside the zone. LOCATIONS: Suzhou Expressway - Station I This station, like many others like it, remained untouched since the disaster. It was part of the Suzhou Expressway, an underground rail network similar to that of London's Underground and New York's subways. It also had links to Beijing and Shanghai, and was a common route for workers in the factories that produced K - 60 and K - 61 engines. It also served as a miniature shopping centre. Lotus Mall Although much of the mall was destroyed in the fires, its underground section remained untouched. Some parts of the mall above ground have also survived extensive damage, however, not without a burnt, ash grey colour on its façade, which has since been reclaimed partially by nature. Suzhou Expressway - Station II A more older station, Station II is also untouched by flame. It dates back to the early 2050's and is built in a more mock- Victorian style, mimicking such buildings in Britain. It was linked to the other station in the expressway, most of which were destroyed in the disaster. Bank An old bank vault. Unfortunately, it has since flooded in ankle-deep water and much of its treasures have been robbed. However, it once belonged to one of Suzhou's most influential banks. Outpost 12 A pre- K 60 underground facility checkpoint turned shanty shelter. Not many know what is being guarded in the warehouse behind it, However, it has since been emptied for reasons unknown. Survivors of the K-60 event who were left underground have also constructed a small shanty town at this point. Suzhou Expressway, Station IV An incomplete station, which building work froze after the disaster. This station is also home to the odd survivor shelter. FACTIONS: Survivors ( Outpost 12 ) These were the descendants of those who were stuck underground since the disaster. the very few that remain often live in shelters created from scrap metal, usually taken from old trains and their cargo. They also often believe rather unusual and wacky legends, once stories of ones survival, but thanks to a desire to impress and word of mouth, are now fairy tales. Some even believe the world ended and that outsiders ( from outside the zone ) are evil demons or even the undead. They are isolated from the outside world because of the zone and the fear of outsiders, as well as the fact that survivors who manage to go to the surface don't come back, further fuelling such myths. Outsiders To put it basically, anyone from outside Outpost 12 or even the exclusion zone. People like these are often kidnapped by survivors, thanks to irrational fears and legends. No-one often knows what happens to them after. New Kuomintang [ NKMT ] A survivor faction that thrives in Outpost 12. They are optimistic for a democratic, new land when they 'come back' ( They often believe, like most survivors, that the world ended. ) to the surface. This faction doesn't usually resort to violence, yet patrols of NKMT supporters armed with knives are commonplace. Chinese Government The government believes that those underground do not exist, or are dead. As a result, many do not know about the existence of such places as Outpost 12. Those that do often see their claims dismissed as 'misunderstandings due to sensory deprivation'. As a result, they also do not know about the NKMT. Again, those that do have their claims dismissed.
