This forum will help by explaining what each training will be like, you should make sure to read all of this in order to know: What to do and what to expect. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Reminder] Only Division HQ Officers can host drills at the HQ, and these drills are for everyone. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drill A drill is an important step in divisions/militaries, drills are usually trainings in general. Drills will test your understanding in commands, (how fast you can preform them.)strength, formations, agility, leadership, shooting, and your coordination. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [!] You must ask for permission to talk to the officer, it is rude to abruptly talk to the officer. [!] Also make sure to be quiet until the officer allows you to talk to one another, if you talk abruptly during the drill you will most likely have to fall-out of the drill or may receive worse punishment. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Must know Superior NCOs like Sergeants - Sergeant majors must ask permission before hosting an drill. Set up Everyone in the drill must form a line shoulder to shoulder, you also must be quiet when setting up. Attention (Must do in order to start the drill) This part is used to gather everyone's attention to start a drill. Every drill will begin with the word "ten-hut" which means "Come to attention." The next step is "present arms" which is a form of salute, and than they have to holster arms. The final step is to get the soldiers at-ease, which makes the soldiers feel relaxed and pay attention easier. Once you are at-ease the superior hosting the training like a superior NCO or an officer, they will do a pep talk. Faces The faces will be the first step in the drill, faces will show how fast you can react to commands. The faster you can react, the better. Eyes front/front face - no matter what direction you are facing, go back into your original facing which is the front. Eyes on me - Lay eyes on the person who gave out the command and don't lose sight of him until he gives the command "Eyes front." Reason why he gives the command to look forwards is to help prevent confusion. About face - Whatever direction you are in, face behind you. Right face - Whatever direction you are in, face to the right of you. Left face - Whatever direction you are in, face to the left of you. When the faces are done, you will be told to fall-in and move onto the next part of the drill by the superior NCO or Officer. "Fall-in" means to stand behind one another, which in short term would be "take ones place." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Formations Formations will be most likely used in combat, so when formations are done it will show how good you understand these formations and how fast you can react to them. There will only be a couple of these formations used each training, the superior NCO or officer must choose which ones to preform for the drill. Beginner Formations These are the formations you MUST know. Column - An column is an line of soldiers evenly filed in either 2 - 3 columns or more. Don't mistake a column for a straight line. (Example: "Get into 2 even columns." If there are 8 soldiers in the drill, divide 8 into 2 even columns of 4.) Line - An line is an line that is diagonal that can be put into 1 or more lines of an even length. (Example: "Get into 1 line." *Everyone would get into an diagonal line* "Get into 2 lines." If there are 8 soldiers in the drill, divide them into 2 diagonal lines of 4.) Complex Formations These are the more complex formations that are good to know. Square - An square is basically an square, squares need a decent amount of soldiers to preform. (If there are extra people, those extra people must kneel/crouch below the other soldiers in the square.) Wedge - An wedge formation is basically an upside down V forming a wedge. When doing a wedge, stand behind the leader and the soldier on the left has to edge off to the left side of the leader while the soldier on the right has to edge off to the right side of the leader. Continue doing this to form a wedge. Inverted Wedge - An inverted wedge is basically an wedge but upside down, which resembles an V. Echelon - An echelon is basically a wedge that has either the left or right side removed. Staggered Column - An staggered column is basically a column in a zig zag, the 2 - 4 soldiers in-front of the column must always look forwards, the 2 - 4 soldiers in the middle on the right side of the zig zag must always look to the right, the 2 - 4 soldiers in the middle on the left side of the zig zag must always look to the left. The 2 - 4 soldiers in the back must always look on the back side of the zig zag. After the formations are done, You will be told to fall-in by the Officer and move onto the next part of the drill. Superior NCOs will have to skip this part ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- {Superior NCOs have to skip this part} Obby, TDM, FFA, or Follow the Leader This is the one of the last steps of the drill, Officers have the choice of one of these choices. Obby - Basically an obby with an time limit, those who don't make it through the obby in time have less of an chance in getting promoted. Team Death Match (TDM) - Basically like an FFA, but you are fighting with a team. Those who show good leadership will have an higher chance in getting promoted. Free For All (FFA) - Basically like TDM, but you are fighting for yourself. The one who can survive the longest or get the most kills has an chance in getting promoted. Follow the Leader (FTL) - Those who can keep up with the leader's actions will have an higher chance in getting promoted. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final step For the final step, repeat the set-up and attention part. When you are done with the final step, start handing out promotions to those who deserve it. Pvts have a higher chance in getting promotions no matter what, but this doesn't mean they get a free pass. Once you are done with the promotions, you can dismiss the soldiers. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Forum made by PenguSupreme -Group Link: https://www.roblox.com/My/Groups.aspx?gid=2584934
