A BILL
To make Northview's roads safer.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Congress of
Northview assembled,
SECTION 1. INTRODUCTION
This bill shall recognize and define all road laws within the State of Northview.
Everyone regardless of rank MUST follow road laws while operating any sort of
transportation vehicle within the State of Northview. All residents and tourist are expected to yield to emergency vehicles, obey road laws, and emergency personnel.
SECTION 2. LAWS
(1) Headlamps are required to be used 30 minutes before sunset and 30
minutes after sunrise. Headlights are also required to be used during any sort of
unfavorable weather. Failure to use headlights will result in a fine no greater than
$50.
(2) Any sort of U-Turn that forces you to cross over any solid colored line is
deemed illegal within the State of Northview. In doing so, you should always make
sure the road is clear and that you are not obstructing any traffic. Conducting an
illegal U-Turn shall result in a minimum fine of $50 and a maximum fine of $100.
(3) All drivers must come to a complete stop at all stop signs and red lights.
Failure to do so will result in a maximum fine of $200.
(4) Turn indicators are required when either you plan to switch lanes or make a
left or right turn. Failure to use blinkers may result in a penalty no less than $25
and no greater than $100.
(5) Driving on the right side of the road is mandatory in the state of
Northview. Failure to drive on the correct side of the road may result into reckless
driving. Driving on the wrong side of the road shall be defined as a vehicle failing
to stay on the right side unless being redirected by emergency services.
Minimum penalty shall be $100 with a maximum penalty of $200.
(6) Running a red light shall be defined as any vehicle knowingly or unknowingly
going through a red traffic light, unless the driver is conducting a right turn.
Minimum penalty shall be $30 with a maximum penalty of $150.
(7) Failure to Yield shall be defined as a vehicle failing to stop or yield for
any emergency vehicle, pedestrian, or biker. Minimum penalty shall be $20
with a maximum penalty of $60.
(8) Obstruction of the roads shall be defined as blocking of intersections and
roads which prevents the flow of traffic. Minimum penalty shall be 75$ with
a maximum penalty of $200.
(9) Reckless driving is the purposeful act of disregarding safety and road
laws. Can result in suspended license, jail time, or a major fine. Minimum penalty
shall be $150 with a maximum penalty of $300. Reckless driving offenses
shall not be given over 600 jail time.
(10) Careless driving is the unintentional act of disregarding safety and road
laws. Minimum penalty shall be $30 with a maximum penalty of $50.
SECTION 4. Enforcement
This bill shall be enforced by all Law Enforcement departments within Northview.
