I have been wondering for a while how to animate characters in games, such as setting the arms in a realistic stance when holding a gun or sprinting in FPS games. How would you animate the parts of a player's character without breaking joints and stuff? Links to tutorials would be appreciated!

######### How would raycasting be helpful at all in an animation? OP can use CFrame lerp for smooth animations, even though it is a little hard to master and requires some trial and error. If you're comfortable with the animation plugin, simply use that. There's a tutorial on the wiki on how to use it.

Potato, I find the wiki not that helpful, because of my learning style, I am not sure how OP feels either. Wiki entries are just blobs of information. I prefer being shown an example in which, in this case, assuming OP wants to lerp the CFrame, how lerping could be used in a situation with an example, not just the procedure and standard function and parameter explanations. However, your link to all tutorials does not explain how to lerp the CFrame, and I find the wiki page on lerping very terrible. If OP is a beginner at scripting I highly recommend using the animation plugin.

Any good tutorial links on lerping? I used the animation plugin before and I'm not a fan of it
