Let's say I go onto a Lady Gaga discussion Thread, and post positive comments.
Then, somebody posts "LADY GAGA SUCKS!!! SLIPKNOT IS BETTER!!!"
It makes no sense.
How can you compare two things in different genres? |

Now that I think about it, it doesn't make any sense... I guess they could be saying that the "rock" genre is better than the "pop" genre? |

That's true @ glaringdragon. I never really thought about it that way before, but you're right. It would be like saying "roses are weird I like trucks way better." They aren't related. The thing is though, music IS related, and I guess bad music should just be considered bad music, instead of bad compared to something else. |

Well metal and pop are genres of music, I suppose they are related. I can prove that pop is a better genre than rock through public opinion. |

@ Mendizio Most of America is consisted of adults 30 or older. So maybe all the kids say Yes to pop, but Most adults (being 95 %) like Rock, which was made in the time they were kids. So Rock would actually win a public oppinion. |

Well, Glaringdragon, you tell people to get off the forums all the time. You can't talk. And techinically, Pop is and isn't a genre. There is the technical term, which is a shortening for "popular". So, using it as a technical term, there is pop rap, pop rock, pop alternative, heck, there is even pop metal! Then there is the modern term, meaning stuff like Hannah Montana, Justin Bieber, Lady GaGa, Beyonce and all those other people. |
