@Kirkman667 You know you didn't have to create a non-cannon timeline if you wanted to be the Emperor of Mankind right? He was and is still alive, if you read the right books, he's just been fighting in the Warp this entire time.
Also, Cadia is gone now, swallowed whole by the Eye of Terror.
Also the Emperor doesn't believe himself a God. He even states, somewhere I cannot be bothered to recollect "God's do not exist" OR something along those lines, more along the lines also, he destroyed all of the old human religions, he doesn't like religion, for some reason.
Before you mention Chaos gods, yes, they are powerful, but they are manifestations of Raw Emotional Power generated buy the many millions of beings that are currently in existence, that does not make them any more a god than a lowly Psyker, its the benign mortal beings too dumb to know better that call them gods, humanity is it's own extinction in the Warhammer Universe.

I'd rather not be a mentally broken psychic skeleton, nowhere do I claim to be the 'god emperor' nor do I allow my members to address me as such.
Cadia isn't gone yet, it just got Pearl Harbor'd by failbaddon's blackstone fortress and it's now a desolate rock barely held together by gravity (but virtually no Cadian regiments were on planet at the time so I can have those in my guard still), chaos doesn't exist stop talking
Chaos doesn't exist, stop talking about it or the inquisition will come
And alternate timelines are better because I can take more canonical liberties and have a fun group instead of a 100% lore compliant group.
Why we're talking about this in a thread meant to bait gun clans is beyond me, but that's my stance on it. |

Now to all the idiots that wants to make assumptions about his post:
He clearly just stated guns clans and the skill of gunning, is pointless.
xLaw never mention once in his post that he said swords are better or anything relevant to swords. This is his opinion how he thinks about guns.
Cause I'm pretty sure maneuvering your hand and fingers on a keyboard doesn't take a lot of skills whether it's for swords or guns. Looks like many gun fighters were triggered from this post.

Gun clans pointless?
I'm sorry, but how? Why?
Gun clans have easier ability to write lores for, control a larger percentage of the clan world, and allow for higher-end originality in technology, as you can change substances of RoF, Damage, Spread, Range, etc, for weapons. Giving you a larger range of what you can put in your base and more story line in sequences.
Guns grant you a chance to create a battlefield story in your base, and give solo-raiders a better chance of victory than swords and other weaponry because although swords and guns are equally challenging, you're less likely to force-tie due to smaller damage counters.
So explain to me, how are guns "pointless" all because you have to point and click?
You have to click with a sword still, so what's the difference?

swords legit take nothing put to move your mouse and have a macro click for you.
Unlike guns you actually have to aim which is hard for most sword users because they comprehend what moving your mouse fast is
