Ask yourself, have congressional members satisfied you with their work? The answer most would say is no. That's why I'm running to gain my 1st term in the U.S. Senate.
Not so long ago, I created a nice-sized movement in just a matter of hours to try and help NUSA get back into the UN. But now, I've realized NUSA doesn't need the UN. We're singlehandedly larger than dozens of countries in the organization combined. We have a structured, fully-functioning (may not seem like it because of incompetence though) government that just fails to work for the people.
I'm not a regular candidate- I don't make up fake ideas and shout on the rooftops that they will pass; Congress doesn't work like that. You have to learn to compromise, to recreate, and to look at all sides to the story.
The facts are in: I did what I set out to do in my two terms in the House whether I stayed the full length or not. In fact, I don't need a full term to get work done for the people. I'm a hard worker, I'm not lazy and wait 3 months to spread out a few bills here and there. I get as much production in as possible, and sometimes think of ideas on the spot and immediately get them up for presentation to our chambers.
During my 2 terms in the House, I created over 30 pieces of legislation. Yes, a lot of it failed but I tried my best to make good pieces of legislation and in the 2nd term learned what wouldn't work at all and learned that I needed to compromise and work with other congressmen and women to get bills passed & enacted into law. Not to mention, I served as a House Majority Whip, Chairman of the House Government Oversight Committee (which I created myself), Chairman of the House Economics & Budget Committee, and Majority Member of the House Judiciary Committee.
My Congressional career in NUSA isn't the only experience I have. I work and/or have worked with ordinary Americans in everyday jobs for as long as I can remember since I came to NUSA. Nothing has been handed out to me, I've worked for every position I've gotten. If I wasn't writing an extensive application I was hitting the campaign trail dm'ing hundreds of people through Discord.
Finally, I wish to seek this 1st term as a Republican- it's really my "home party" and I've always made a lot of friends because of the party. Although it has had a rocky past with many different associated leaders, it has gotten rebranded into a bigger & better party. I know I'll make a great fit in it once again, just like in the past.
Oh yea! One more thing. I'm not going to centralize my campaign around this, but yes of course my inbox on Discord is always open for suggestions and bill ideas. I don't like ranting about this on a speech because it makes a candidacy sound dull and that someone has no original ideas. (Discord: Vinblob242#5686)
