MARINE STANDARD REGULATIONS Purpose THE MARINE STANDARD REGULATIONS WERE CREATED SO THAT MARINES COULD PROPERLY CARRY OUT THEIR DUTIES WITH THE HIGHEST SENSE OF QUALITY. IN THE EVENT THAT A MARINE DOES NOT FOLLOW THE REGULATIONS LISTED, IMMEDIATE DISCIPLINARY ACTION SHALL BE PERSUDE. Marine Regulations and Conduct THIS BILL, IF PASSED, MAY BE CITED AS THE MARINE REGULATIONS AND CONDUCT OF 2017 Body SECTION 1: RULES AND REGULATIONS During training or operations of any kind, marines must use appropriate vocabulary when speaking to a superior and to their fellow marines. When under the instruction of an NCO training, proper vocabulary includes: “YES DRILL SERGEANT” “NO DRILL SERGEANT” When under the instruction of an officer, proper vocabulary includes: “SIR YES SIR” “SIR NO SIR” When asking a question, proper terminology is “SIR”. PTS (Permission to speak) is not necessary. When speaking to other marines of either the same rank or non-officers, your questions/responses must be followed by the rank of whomever is speaking with you. Example “YES PVT (NAME)” “NO LT SIR” Equipment in use by marines must follow stated protocol unless directed otherwise by command: The loadout for the ranks Private up to, and including Corporal shall be limited to the following weaponry: an MA5 and M6G The loadout for the ranks Sergeant up to, and including Lieutenant Colonel shall be either of the following primaries: MA5, M45D, or a BR-55, with a M6G or M7 as their secondary. Colonel and higher may use any weapon they see fit other than a DMR or a SRS99C, or any weapons retained exclusively for special forces usage. SECTION 2: CHAIN OF COMMAND Chain of Command must be followed at all times regardless if on duty or off duty. Failure to comply with orders from your superiors may result in disciplinary action. To avoid conflicting orders, marines are to follow the latest orders issued by a higher authority or if previous orders have been waived Written orders and regulations are to always be followed unless a legislative amendment is made prior. Ranks are separated by ENLISTED ranks and OFFICER ranks: Enlisted ranks are those from the ranks of: Private – Sergeant Major Officer ranks are those from the ranks of: Lieutenant – Grand Council SECTION 3: CONDUCT Marines are expected to show the highest level of competency and exemplary conduct while on duty. This includes no deviations from the task at hand or orders given by the presiding NCO/CO unless granted permission otherwise. Any negligent behavior and willful misconduct will be recorded and a proper punishment will be delivered. Examples of misconduct (based on severity) include: Speaking out of turn Disobeying your superiors Damaging UHD property Firing upon fellow UHD members and civilians
