actually, there are many. many roams the rp field. why? it's a sea of ideas. for an animator like me, this is a treasure. ideas right in front of me. people would pay for those ;3 i get them free. |

you'd better start now. the software construct and gamemakers are a good place to start. also, get pencil, gimp, inkscape, paint.net. these will be usefull for you. |

I have Paint.NET and Roblox, which has given me my only computer programing experience. I havn't heard of the other things though. |

here is a program library. get as much as you can:
paint.net: paint on steroids, good for small touches
the gimp: that's a mouthfull. it's paintshop cs3 on steroids. and free
pencil:you can do some light animation in it
game maker: a simple, easy to use game maker. options are limited, but good to start with
construct. good to start with, slightly more complex than game maker, but offers far more freedom, even though it only does 2d games
inkscape: my favourite pic. editing software after photoshop
macromedia flash 8 pro- if you were to buy flash, get this version. it's old, but cheaper and far more stable. also, trust me, it is the best to start with
google sketchup 3d modelling softwares with many add-ons.
wings 3d- 3d modelling software, just great.

it's an animation software, my tool of trade. with this, you can do flash game and flash animation. but it is slightly complex when starting. |
