and maybe when the brick is transparent (on a sinking ship) there could be a glass thing when the particles hit the transparented brick it goes into bits |

I support this |

I do want, you have definately changed my opinion on the issue of water. But knwoing ROBLOX, if we do get this, it will be because we make it ourselves. Then ROBLOX will steal it and make it *Slightly* easier to use.
*Idea Bulb Flashes On*
I'm going to the scripting forum! I'll get you that water you want! |

If you have water you can make rain right? |
|
|
I support if it can be done. |
|
|
IT WOULD BE EPIC!!! I BLAME JOHN FOR THE LACK OF THIS. |
|
|
This is just making the system requiremens higher a pentium 4 now struggles with roblox now
now you need atleast a dual core just to play games with about 7k bricks |
|
|
Fantastic, most likely easy, well presented(very detailed) idea...I 100% support. |

You got MAH support, man.
Although, as HyperBlue said, I don't think it will happen :( |
|
|
I hope it doesn't happen
you will loose people in if it does come
cause about 30% of people cant afford a dual core while the people with intel core 2 duos and people with I7s are just enjoying it |

They made smoke and fire both things a lot of people thought roblox wouldn't make witch are now here. So they will probably make water. |

@wagnerja
It actually could be scripted with Lua, but would be laggy. However, if it was, it wouldn't be a userdata.
Like bricks, these water particles would be coded with C++ - a much faster language due to it being such a low-level language.
Whilst I support the idea, I just have a problem with it:
What happens when a particle touched a brick? Does it exert pressure on the brick? Or does the brick exert pressure on the particle? I assume it would depend on whether or not the brick is anchored, but you might also need to take things like weight into consideration, which could potentially put processing limits back onto the table.
Anyway, if added, will be one of the most amazing add-ons to roblox in a long time. |

Nifty water idea, and the Type of brick should have a different behaviour with water, If wooden brick, it can float on water, Ice can float but only the middle of the brick will float, metal, slate and concrete sinks, Grass can float but it must be small, if the grassy brick is too big, it may sink. This idea is strongly recommended for roblox too. |
