US-Color = UK-Colour US-Center = UK-Centre US-Football = UK-Soccer US-"PutSomethingInHere" = UK-'PutSomethingInHere' This applies to other words, too. I noticed some of these when reading Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island." BTW, some spellings might not be used in the UK anymore.

Technically, "center", "theater", etc etc are really just more modern spellings of "centre", "theatre", etc etc. America still uses them, but not that commonplace.
