War is not a sport it is a resolution (a bad resolution) to dispute our problems. War is NOT a sport. MMA and Boxing are sports, which are fighting. War is not a sport. Don't talk about what you DO NOT know.

Because this is one smart bear. War is not a sport. If it were, your schools physical education course would show you how to play "war" and therefore it'd be a sport. But, War and Fighting aren't the exact same thing. War is a conflict carried on by force of arms, as between nations or between parties within a nation; warfare, as by land, sea, or air. Fighting is a battle or combat, a contest or struggle, or a game or diversion in which the participants hit or pelt each other with something harmless. Unless you are talking about Romans version of "fun war in a coliseum" don't come to me saying war is a sport. It is not.

Dude, you know that schools don't hold all the sports? American ones don't use rugby. I mean what school holds biking... Or horse racing. Or racing at that.

#25017493Friday, April 30, 2010 1:46 AM GMT

...Paintball is not war. You silly uneducated kids. My school holds biking. Also, we do track. They have clubs for horse racing as well. There is a rugby club also. Also, no not anything with a gun and running isn't a sport. Hunting IS a sport. War is not. If war was a sport, why aren't there common competitions for having wars? There aren't. It's violent. Here's the definition for sport : an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc. Also that DOES apply in war, it is not a national sport. I'm done with you little kids, continue to believe that war is a sport. When you go to a recreation center such as the YMCA, and say you want to play war you will be the sport. If you don't know what sport meant right there which i know you didn't, it meant an object of derision aka a laughing stock. Alright, go ahead and tell lies saying war is a sport now. I honestly don't care. :D I officially pwned this thread.

Okay then, bring up an official article saying where war is declared a sport. Hunting is the use of a weapon to kill and slaughter animals for enjoyment, and usually later to feast upon. Shooting IS a sport. War is not. Also, I never said I was the best. How am I a noob when I've been playing this game for over a year? Spartans and Romans considered this as a competition, but no us Americans do not treat war as a sport. I found a link to Yahoo Answers perfectly explaining it, but not sure if I am able to post it. WAR > Politics > Presidential Matter(s) > Laws > Maybe change of govt. Where do you see Sport in there? War is STRICTLY on politics, economy, and arguments.

Sport: A sport is commonly defined as an organized, competitive, and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play. War: War is a behavior pattern exhibited by many primate species[1] including humans, and also found in many ant species.[2][3][4] The primary feature of this behavior pattern is a certain state of organized violent conflict that is engaged in between two or more separate social entities. Such a conflict is always an attempt at altering either the psychological hierarchy or the material hierarchy of domination or equality between two or more groups. In all cases, at least one participant (group) in the conflict perceives the need to either psychologically or materially dominate the other participant. Amongst humans, the perceived need for domination often arises from the belief that an essential ideology or resource is somehow either so incompatible or so scarce as to threaten the fundamental existence of the one group experiencing the need to dominate the other group. Leaders will sometimes enter into a war under the pretext that their actions are primarily defensive, however when viewed objectively, their actions may more closely resemble a form of unprovoked, unwarranted, or disproportionate aggression.
