Nothing appears to be overlly wrong, a tube out of place, some beakers off the rack, nothing seems broken though... |

Mark is wiring the ceiling to create the black hole, and the boss is scurrying around flipping various switches, when I walk in he stops and says "HEY! Nice night eh? Everyone as good as died when they hit the pillow heh-he! Well, get to work, we have a lot to do!" |

"Alright, everyone, stand back!" Yells Mark. "We're opening the thing NOW" with that he handed everyone the "Pocket projectors" that could make portals as well, but were smaller and one use, just in case if we got sucked to another universe |

My eyes bulge as I calculate. The cumputer it came out of was the control system! "Sir, STOP!!! THE PROJECT HAS BEEN HIJA-" I was cut off by a huge explosive blast of noise as the machine fired up, creating a two dimmensional hole in space in the center of the room. But, something was wrong, it hits me just then. "It's a one way portal" I whisper "But it is going the wrong direction, we're letting THEM in, not us..." |

With a burst of feathers, something shoots out of the portal, zipping around the room like an insane parrot, before zooming right beneath Fighter and exiting the building. ""LOCKDOWN!!! NOW!!!!!" I yell |

The room is locked down and the things coming out can't get us, we are all breathless, sitting in the lobby, or what's left of it. |

I go on the computer in the lobby, surprised that it isnt ruined. I try several search engines, and none give results until I get to the fifth one. It shows a sketch drawing of the same creature we saw. "Guys, I found it," I say, pointing to the computer screen. "Appears that there was this old myth--an Iroquois Indian story, in fact--about these things. Their called 'Khafleep', 'Universe Birds' in Indian," I say. |

I pull out my pistol as a loud screech fills the air. A black speck in the sky is coming at well over 200 mph |

With a sudden boom it hits the sound barrier, and breaks it. My eyes widen "Impossible" was all I could say, before a shrink back to the wall. With a whoosh of air the hyrawing blurs past, ramming through several walls before hitting the solid metal box that the portal was in. It shakes it off and screams. |
