Fighter feels lighter than a feater, light enough to fly.... "Holy..." I mutter, seeing him start levitating |
"You're flying" I say. Instantly all thoughts of leaving left his mind, after all, they where never there... "I suppose that means whatever we wish, happens" I mutter, teleporting forward a few feet |
"Then let's check that theory out." I say, willing myself to know about the people who are 'recovering'. |
We both find ourselves back inside the room. The same people were still eating, pillows stuffed around them. They stared at us, boring holes in us... |
I will myself invisible and sink into the corner. |
He goes invisible. The eyes still follow him, desperate as ever. One of them tries to say something, but it sounds distant, and far away... "ay ough*Jibberish* zeghf pifohz"
~I would take the time to entertain you, but, too much effort involved~ Sloth |
"I'll help." I manage to squeak out. |
I run up and grab a pillow from off a guy. Suddenly the room is replaced by a dank cave, and the people's bodies change to match their desperate eyes. Most people are slouching against walls, moaning. Some are missing body parts, but oddly, did not bleed. There is a group of pale boys in the corner, whole, but scared, whimpering. |
I go over to the boys. "What happened here?" |
One speaks. His voice is raw, like it hasn't been used in some time. "The- I- the- the- the Anitquairm" I stutters out in fear |
"The thing that brought us here?" I ask. |
"You must leave......now, before it is too late!" |
I turn. "Leave. Now. Please." |
"I don't need telling twice" I bolt for the exit. But the boys stay were they are |
I look at them. "CAN you leave?" I ask. |
He shakes his head. "n-n-no, he's eaten too much, I'd die if I left." As I sprint from the room, he seems to grow just a little older, and a little more empty. I burst from the cave room, and notice the courtyard seems to be unraveling. I barely have time to say "odd" before I run to the door. |
I follow, willing myself to go faster. |
Inside the door, is a stretched cave, unrealistically long, there are still the hushed whispers, but now the one doing it is visible. A man in silvery armor is hunched over in a corner. When he notices us, his eyes go wild and he starts muttering in an odd language |
He suddenly grabs both of us. He shouts at us in an odd language. Then again in another. Then in French. Then Spanish. Then "Do you understand me NOW!?!?!?!" |
He explains some wild story about alternate universes and floating eyeballs. How he once held powerful magic and is now trapped here. That he stays in the doorway, because it is where the "Anitquairm" has the least power over him, but is still slowly eating him. |
I raise my hand. "Is the anitquarm the thing that brought us here?" |
