Technically, it is a free game. The basic benefits are free. You get one place with unlimited bricks for free ; you can still have friends ; you still get tix ; you can still buy stuff.
Luxuries we DONT get in free account:
Selling t-shirts, pants, or shirts.
Bodies
Some skateboards
More than one place
Badges (ability to make)
More groups + ability to make groups
ROBUX
You are right: ROBLOX isn't really free, but the BASE of it is.
It's sort of like this:
Say you have a lawn mower. It runs on cheap gas and cuts grass. Then imagine that, for a fee, you can upgrade it with a computer, XBOX 360, latte machine, and CD player. You don't HAVE to pay for those luxuries, because the lawn mower already stands up to it's name. You need a lawn mower to cut your grass ; it cuts grass. You don't need everything else that comes with it, because it already does what you need it to do.
In ROBLOX, you want to be able to build, have friends, and customize your person ; BASICALLY. For a monthly fee, you can make badges and groups, more places, get more money, buy bodies and some skateboards, and a ton more pointless stuff.
