we've all seen them...whether its just changing the amount of money you have in a tycoon, to deleting the baseplate, to loopkills, inserting models, making yourself vip, and countless others that annoy the [content deleted] out of everyone. it is really annoying when you go to play a game, only to find that someone messed it up. anyone else have this problem? the ROBLOX devs seem to be unaware of it because nobody is stupid enough to hack while a mod is on. maybe they do know and just haven't found a solution yet...idk... well, im fed up with it and offering a solution that someone will hopefully add to the roblox game to stop these noobs from ruining it. many people have only downloaded the software to unhack and stop this. if you've done so, i'd like to thank you here. many people apparently like to hack telamon's places, and it is really hard to find an unhacked server on Sword Fights on the Heights.
possible solutions(please feel free to offer more suggestions in the comment section)
1) whenever the ROBLOX application and other files that make it run, add a .DLL file(or any other extention) that checks the C:// drive for Cheat Engine (a popular hacking software). if it finds one, it throws an error during the installation process, and prevents further installation.

Its impossible to stop hacks and cheat engine isnt a hacking program... Its exploiting. |

Its exploits but it sounds useful other than this flaw "C:// drive for Cheat Engine (a popular hacking software)." This will scan ALL of the computer including saved p-words.

Also they would be breaking a law to Canadian users:
No ones alowed snooping around in buisness such as the persons computer... And since they search the computer this breaks this law. Also the way you say will also break the ROBLOX privacy policy. |

It can't be detected, it's not legal to not allow usage of that program while running this one, and you can't stop it. Period. |

It is also grounds for lawsuit under unfair competition. |

Even then its not legal to search the computer system to any user tahts in Canada otherwise you break a privacy law. |

unfair competition? Cheat Engine is a free download. well, they'd definatley have to get their legal team to see if it does, in fact, break any laws. and, its unethical to hack as well, so, yeah... but, yes, i do see where you're comming from. |

Unfair competition is when one company smothers another, for any reason.
That would include a free download.
Plus, it is YOUR copy of Roblox. You are entitled to do with it what you want. |

As long as there are scripting languages. There will always be exploiting\hacking. The reason is because hacking\exploiting is from code. Meaning that if there is no code, there is no games, websites, computers, or anything.

The only way to do something similar is having ROBLOX scan the processes running, and if it's running shut ROBLOX down, if it finds the process, and constantly keeps checking. The only problem is that they could change the name of it and it would be un-findable again. This way is totally legal as Adobe has done it.

You can't stop hacks.
SOmeone could hack the banks, even though they have a huge ammount of security.
Granted, it would be extremely hard, but they could. |

the point of hacking is to get around protot calls and anti hacker software and to have fun so hacker are unstopable it just make the determined ones better hackers to have a anti hacker software. |

You can't stop hacks. Soon people will be able to use hacks to change Tix and Robux. And when that day comes, I don't think you guys will want to stop hacks. |

I might have an idea of how to stop noobs with cheat engines.
To hack roblox games noobs need to have roblox and cheat engine downloaded. ROBLOX needs to make it so roblox doesnt work with cheat engines installed on a computer. Then useing awesomeness, Roblox could track the ip adress of the people useing cheat engine, (and having roblox installed), see what accounts mainly log on that computer with that ip adress and ban them.
And roblox should get higher security |
