I see only one flaw in making a stock exchange. Stocks change more rapidly then curency so people who dont know what they are doing will blow all their money on this and get angry and demand; "all our tix and buxxx back lolololol!!!11 |

True. However, if some noob has 215 tix, goes to the TC, and puts in an offer at 1:215 the same could happen. They need to realize that everything is a risk. |

Great idea i thought of that a while ago but i didnt suggest it. There would also have to be help section on "The Block Market" like telling how it works and how to use. I hope a Roblox Staff member at least considers it.:)

Creating your own stocks would be a BAD idea.

Might not work, might also devolop bad habits, like, gambling addiction, etc(Remember, the stock market is infact a gamble). And it would work for games, ill tell you why, you only get money for games/buisnessess growing(ex.) When mcdonalds was a small town diner, if you invested in it, you would be loaded roight now. |

Rather than having some fakey admin-controlled stocks, or investing into places..
What if groups were integrated for business? They would have some employees, a bank account, and system of pay. They would have items tethered to the group which would be sold out for prices determined by the group owner. This would mean some kind of PIN numbers would have to be issued for parts in the group's models, and scripts would have to be encoded, but that shouldn't be too hard...
Anyways, players could invest in these groups, and the groups would use this investment to advertise their product (script, building, clothes, etc), and then return the money invested plus a predetermined percentage. Should this not be able to be repaid, the owner could reduce payrolls, pay from his own account, etc, so that he could pay back the investment. And then if he still couldn't pay, the group and all items would be given to the investor. :D
This could be worked into a stock system by displaying business groups in some kind of exchange page, with the average weekly amount a group makes and information about what the group does.
All kinds of stuff could sprout up from there... |
