In the area which had once belonged to the Terran Federation, atoms streamed all over the place, though very few joined. They would hardly cause much damage to a ship on their own, but together they would wear down a hull quite effectively, given several hours. They would also be devastating to engines relying on a fuel-scoop placed at the front, leaving them powerless to escape the removal of layer upon layer of their hull. The screens [I presume the Kronus is fitted with them? You said it had capabilities.] were quickly scratched and pitted, however, due to their being softer than the hull of the Kronus. They offered little protection, but might give an extra 30 minutes. However, this may not be nescasary. The White Hole, although it's effects substantially reduced, was still spewing both matter and time. One piece of that time was the wormhole used to move Terra to M82. In roughly 5 minutes, it would appear. (This ain't going to destroy the Kronus in 5 minutes, but it would tear it apart overnight. So leaving once you've got what you came for, or takeing the wormhole are your best options.)

(It doesn't use a scoop... like most USSC Craft it uses Ion Engines... the only exceptions are Atmospheric Fighters. Also... do any of you guys play Warhammer 40k? If so any advice on a race to pick?) Gheno Cursed, there appeared to be small blasts of EMP... nothing substantial enough to destroy the systems... but it was still irritating to have the engines and screens black out every minute or so. He decided to quickly search for the Vulcan.. preferring not to get roasted by the huge quantities of Radiation soon to come. As they dispatched of yet another detector it picked up a wierd mass in one location of the system. A seemingly small dip... that was growing. As the net on his screen dipped more and more he concluded that it was one of two things... a black hole... or a wormhole. He manipulated the thrusters on the sensor station, moving it ever closer to the hole. (By net I mean as in the Space-time Plane... there's a simulated version represented on his screen. The sensors picking up even the slightest gravity difference able to reflect it on there, the only exception being fighters, craft next to celestial bodies, and humans in Space suits... since either it'd be too small or mis-interpretted.)

(Dawn of War 2 is epic... atleast how you can actually give your squads wargear in the Campaign is... it's also making me think about getting involved with the Board game or miniatures or w/e you'd classify Warhammer 40k under.)

(Never said it had a scoop, just some ships [including TDF vessels], do use them. Think o' Red Dwarf. Big scoop on the front for collecting hydrogen to use as fuel, meaning it could theoreticaly travel forever. Indeed, it had been going for 3000008 years before being turned into a planet by nanorobots.) Lightning licked at the edges of the Vortex, still too small for a ship to pass through, but growing rapidly. It's gravity began pulling in the Kronus, though weakly. Fawn was piloting his shuttle back to a research station, when he noticed something on Radar. He searched his nanicom for some indication of what it might be... what the? A Vortex? And... hang on, it was in exactly the same place as where one was the Terra was pulled into M82 from. He stared incredulously.

(You know what... just because I'm bored and Caty needs someone to RP with..) "Aphrodite to command." The Comm Officer waited for the reply. "This is Command, go ahead Aphrodite." The Comm Officer heard over the Radio, "We've entered a system not on our Starmaps... just a second... here... it popped up on USC Maps as the Orbon system." Reported the Comm Officer to Command. "Requesting permission to Capture planet..." He paused looking at the USC Starmaps again. "Dracaniz." He finished. "Atmosphere?" Command asked, not willing to lose lives to a mistake in Life Support capabilites. "Yes sir... reports from our scanners indicate it's capable of supporting life." Reported the Comm Officer. "Then tell your CO that he has Permission to Proceed." Finished the Admiral at Command, giving the Officer a brief salute before signing off. The Comm Officer ran for the Bridge, jumping over the treacherous obstacles that lay in the corridor. Obstacles such as dr,unk crewman (Sadly) and injured sailors. Finally, after dodging alot of rolling be,er glasses dropped by bored sailors he reached the bridge. Giving the Captain the Admiral's go ahead. The Aphrodite propelled itself towards Dracaniz's orbit, preping it's Gunships for landing.

The pilot had stopped writhing altogether now, and lay on thee floor recovering. The engineer, who controlled the turret firing, was sat by the hangar wall, breathing deeply but otherwise ok. After waiting a few seconds, the navigator asked; "When they've healed up, do you want to tell us what happened here?" A Gen-2 bird had snuck into the TK-V01 back on Terra unnoticed, and had escaped unnoticed. It saw something looking like an overhang. Somewhere to nest. It sped towards the Promethius, or more specificaly, the hangar. (The Gen-2 will get infected.)

The Vortex was now large enough for a shuttle to fit through, but grew big enough for the Kronus just mere seconds later. It's gravity was going to be irresistable to the vessel in under a minute, and the closer the ship got, the harder it would be to escape. Not that there would likely be any reason to. The screens had now been torn to shreds, though one or two could still flicker if the cloak were active.

(Er... it's orbitting Dracaniz...) The sirens throughout the Aphrodite blared. A sea of red flesh flowing down the corridors as the troops rushed to their Positions, forming up in the hangar. The seargents met up with their squads, instructing them on the mission before boarding their Valkyries. Climbing into their seats. Ready for their Baptism of Fire. The Doors of the Cado Incendia closed, pressurizing the cabin for the descent. Sirens blared. Ground crews running out of the hangar. Doors sealing behind them. As the doors sealed the ground tore apart below the Cado Incendia. The same thing happening to the other Valkyries. The Cado Incendia Slowly fell free from the ship, moments of peace before she entered the atmosphere, flames burning her hull. "Fifteen seconds!" The pilots yelled back into the Cabin, trying to overcome the sound of the flames. "Five, four, three..." He continued. Her nozzles throbbed, fire bursting from the engines. She slowed drastically, pushing forward right above the treetops. Co-pilot using his helmet to to move the gun. Watching, making sure the LZ wasn't hot. The ship fell with a thump. Rear Door opening, releasing the soldiers. Along with the Cado Incendia, were the Pluvia flamma and cado astrum, all landing in the same clearing.

(Nothing important really happened... I just created my own race of parasites and... that's pretty much it... although I am launching an invasion force on the Planet Dracaniz in the Orbon system.. [Caty made up the name for the planet... and I got bored so I decided to invade the planet.. :D] "This is lieutenant Miess, we're on the ground over." Reported Andrew, the Radioman in his squad. "Roger that lieutenant, tell your Captain to watch the Treelines, there could be concealed positions in them." "Yes sir!" Replied Andrew, shutting off the Comm. "Ca-" He was interrupted by the Captain's reply, "I can hear can't I?" They advanced slowly, the thunder of the Valkyries taking off behind them. The other two squads had stayed near the LZ, guarding it should enemy forces come.
