you know, maybe the forum feature should just be removed all together. after all, it doesn't lead to any legitimate conversation. perhaps we could leave forums like building/scripting help, suggestions, ect, things that actually provoke talk.
I'd ask to start by removing the sections: Off topic, Rate my Roblox, World Wide Chat, language center, and roleplaying |

I'm willing to give reasons: a forum with no purpose does not lead to discussion, rather, it breeds spam. just saying, you're from another country? post here. you can speak another language? post here. post here, and then others will tell you what they think of you. and then, in the extreme cases, it just becomes post here, such is the case in OT. |

i say no because the forums are one of the most popular places on roblox.
if they were removed,about a quater of the roblox population(including me) would quit.
less users=less money=worse roblox=less users=no more roblox

Off Topic is the second most active forum (the first is Roblox Talk, and I have no complaints about that), and it has no purpose because it NEEDS no purpose. Off Topic is a great forum to post in if you don't want to post things that are a certain theme. |

sure. every time something happens, people make a big deal and say they will quit (OBC, Body parts, skate park contest) but may I ask, have the roblox developers seen any real change in the amount of money their company is taking in? I don't believe people saying "this sucks, Imma quit" really makes that much a difference in the end. |

if a lot of people quit, then we would have a problem.
but bottom line: they wont quit. every time they do something at roblox, people say they will quit, but they never do, and if they do, they do so in such low quantities, that it hardly makes a difference. I doubt many would quit over something so silly. not to mention, some new users will be happy to see that roblox doesn't have a bad community and a forum fill with spam, and may stick around, giving roblox ad revenue. some may even join builders club.
roblox, in my mind, is meant to be a building website, not a social network, this is why we don't need expansive forums. |

I like the forums. Some people give intelligent conversation, although, a minority. Besides, I don't see why a spammy forum is worse than no forum at all. |

I greatly disagree with this forum thread. the forums helps people interact with each other, make deals, and bring everyone closer. if there were no more forums, less people would know about others, thus leading to less place visits, leading to a steady increase of bored ROBLOXians, leading to people quiting. Besides, if I quit, I have a lot of friends and family from RL here on ROBLOX. If I quit, I can persuade the others to quit. They tell their friends, and it causes a chain reaction that leads to the collapse of ROBLOX. |
