"Good, keep getting them. I can do three of the four jobs here, the fourth being yours." I open the breach, slam in one of the massive rounds and seal it again. I line it up oon the densest section of the swarm and I fire, throughout the entire base dust falls from the ceiling and loose lighting fixtures come crashing down (in otherwords, most of the broken lights are now shattered on the floor. (The shell has a 1/4 mile blast radius)

The greater part of the swarm was destroyed. The rest dispersed, and was destroyed.

(Wow, I was expecting to have to use multiple shells.) "That worked better than anticipated" I get up from the artilleryman's seat and I start to walk back to the entry room "Good news, our enemy no longer exists within the cannons range." (A note, the cannon was originally intended to shoot down capital ships (space battle cruisers) which is why the shell causes such a large explosion. Someone had the bright idea that it would work well when turned on ground units. However the shell we just used isn't the standard ammunition, it was a much larger explosion than the standard shell makes. The 'super dragon' shells were used to take down capital ships. The normal rounds are used for everything else. I had just figured the 'super dragon' was the best for this situation.)

(In a way, those shells not being the norm and not being very common is also a way not to make it too uber.)

(So, where is everybody? From what I can see, someone is outside of the base operating the artillery, and the swarm has been destroyed.) Silent Pete had SOMEHOW gotten his way into the base, and was now whistling merrily.

(Well, my order was to open the door once the flames were gone. The artillery only partially works, it must be turned, loaded, and fired manually.)

(Since we aren't in a combat situation anymore can we go through the checks on the base to see what is operational?)

(Alright) "I'm going to head down to the vehicle bay and get the door open so they can bring at least a few of the carriers in."

"Alright then. Everything is running on backup power though, you might have noticed that only 1 out of every 6 lights are on. If you know how to work a standard fission generator you could start back up the main generator."

~Risika~ I watched as another light went out.there where only 4 lights left on in this room now.it was almost completly dark.

"Now, the back up generators should keep on running for a few days or weeks even but they aren't infinite."

(This....is only the beginning.) I walked my mech into a large hangar, and parked it by some old tanks. "What's the status on this old place?" I said over the radio.

"Well, we need someone with a deal of experience to get the main generator back online, we're running on the backups. We turned the main generator off when we last left. A lot of lights will need replacing and the plumbing will need to be checked."

"I can work on the generator." I replied over the radio. "But I'm gonna need a map of this place."

"There should be one by each set of stairs." (refer to previously provided link.) "They aren't removable but they'll help you find your way around. To make this place serviceable for very long though, we'd have to make some intense repairs."

"We'll only need it long enough to send a radio wave to the long range comms satilite." I said.
