for some of us it would be easier if we could script in languages besides Lua
for example i am a great scripter with BASIC (Beginners All Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) and i think it would be easier to script in that as well as Lua and a few other languages |

Isnt Basic a Programming code used to make Applicatons not a Scripting code? Ive not used it alot though :P (I think I know what your talking about) |

BASIC has been used since 1970. However, by the name itself, it is far too basic to produce anything complex. Writing something in BASIC can easily be quartered by writing in Lua.

I like LUA the way it is, and it is far more useful than BASIC. And the new scripting language also needs to be integrated within ROBLOX, so I don't think I would agree. |

well i realize BASIC isn't much of a scripting language but i just used it as an example |

plus i have made a few games with 3D graphics using BASIC so it can be used for scripting |

Java (yes its a language not a company)
thats all i know of that would be suitable |

C++ Isnt scripting. Its programming. HTML is mainly used in websites. IDK about Java |

I'm pretty sure Java is for browser.LUA is fine.It's simple and easy to catch. |

how could you hack roblox by using an alternative language in games...
and what's the big difference between scripting and programming?
the way i see it each of the examples is object based and has an infinite number of uses |

i agrre with this idea. i also think that if possible roblox should make their own scripting language that is easier to understand. i mean think about it. 70% of robloxians are 10 years and under and probly have no idea what scripting even is. if u make scripting easier you can have more ppl scripting and more ppl staying on roblox without quiting |

bad idea, what if u want a script, then u go to free models and find exactly what u are looking for but, WHATS THAT? is it in german? is it in japanese? that would be a mess |

BASIC, no, unless its "Advanced Basic Plus" (the one visual studio used" it wudnt work and it wud take A G E S to impliment! =D |
