I rest my head on my hand, my eyes half-closed. "In the 19th century blah blah bleh blah blah blah blah..." the teacher rambled on. She brushed her puffy hair back, then continued babbling on about something.
I turn to face Alyssa and ask, "When's class over?"
"Just about another half hour left," she says loudly. The teacher must be deaf because she ignores Alyssa and keeps talking. |

I feel a soft nudge on my elbow. I open my eyes slowly to let my eyes adjust to the light, then grab my books. "Thanks Alyssa," I say, getting up to leave. She giggles and follows me.
"You were drooling, Mickey," she whispers in my ear. I stare into her eyes and then we burst out laughing.
"R-really?" I ask, wiping a tiny teardrop from my eye.
"YEA! You should be embarrassed, you know," Alyssa replies, nudging me. |
