With the new century came a new way to wage war. This method is extremely costly, and complicated. It revolves around the act of taking the brain of an animal, tweaking it to take remote commands, and then implanting it in a much more powerful robotic body. These weapons, known as "Animoids" became the most powerful weapons on the battlefield. Once animal-based robots became a staple of war, it was a small amount of time before humans were lined up for modification with animal technology. The changes were slight at first: sharper eyes on snipers, larger muscles on infantry, etcetera. Soon, however, these once-humans became somewhat less. The modifications became full-body changes, ranging from a full body of scales and with claws, to centaur-like bodies.
A major flaw recently came up with the Animoids and (name for the human/animal things; you make it): the animal mindsets began to take over again. With one million Animoids deployed by the various nations of the world, and at least a billion (human/animal)s, the world would surely soon head to full out war with these creations of science.
