If you're a fan of David Bowie or don't know who he is or why anyone likes him, this is the thread for you. And if you just want to flame, there are plenty of other threads that are worth flaming, and maybe even more flaming, so don't waste your time here.

Have you heard Moonage Daydream? Not enough fans. This is a pitiful thread. How dare I make it!

Lawl, I wonder what would happen if I said that I don't know who Bowie is... Lol, just kidding.

To all who don't know who David Bowie is: (Took quite a while to type) http://www.davidbowie.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/officialdavidbowie?blend=1&ob=4 (Not his best picture, but it's still his channel) http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000033946428#!/davidbowie?ref=ts Some of his most well-known songs/Songs that have been in movies: I'm Deranged: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb2RlCnZqzg Rebel Rebel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4SLXaF-lIc Ziggy Stardust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXq5VvYAI1Q Fame: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-_30HA7rec Space Oddity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhSYbRiYwTY Changes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pl3vxEudif8 Cat People (Putting Out Fire): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t01BpGCmErg Heroes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQFuNHCMF2Y Young Americans: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNw1ZPzqP9Q Let's Dance [Live]: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyVjdQXNs9s You hardly have to point out that he's a space alien. But that's what he's aiming for. Well-done, Bowie. And you've probably already watched the videos if you've read here, but yes, you'll think he sings weird if you haven't heard him before, but he sings really well, just different.

"The Man Who Sold the World" is another awesome David Bowie song. Did you know that when he was in high school he got into a fight with his best friend, who was wearing a ring, and got punched in the eye so now he has no depth perseption?

I knew his right eye got permanently dialated from a fight over a girl when he was 13. Now that I think about it, that would lead to no depth preception. And yeah, I was thinking I should've linked to "The Man Who Sold the World" a while after I posted that post. I might've wanted to post "I Have Not Been To Oxford Town" because it was used in a movie and "All The Young Dudes" which was used in at least 2 movies and copied off of by someone. (Yeah, I'm looking at you Green Day.) *Holds up an anti-flame riot shield*

I think The Clash might have also copied off of "All The Young Dudes" with their song "All The Young Punks". But The Clash are still one of my favorite bands.

*Does more CPR on thread* This thread is now officially in the hospital with tubes all over it. That's how close to dying it is. And now I shall bump no more. Unless, of course, I want to.

And then comes up Obscure, being all fansy on David Bowie.
superdimensionmaster
#28048397Saturday, June 26, 2010 1:27 AM GMT

And then comes up Dimension, pointing out that we're typing in 3rd person, and that fansy is a really weird-sounding word, especially when you're being it on someone, and also pointing out that Obscure isn't doing anything to be fansy anyways.
TheObscuriosity
#28048534Saturday, June 26, 2010 1:29 AM GMT

Oh, I didn't know I wasn't a fan of David Bowie.

And then comes Pondsinarium to point out that this thread is NOT daiing, and that this is an awkward moment.

#28048729Saturday, June 26, 2010 1:32 AM GMT

I didn't say that Obscure wasn't a fan of David Bowie, just that he wasn't doing anything at the moment to "be fansy on" David Bowie. And THIS THREAD WILL SURVIVE!
TheObscuriosity
#28048916Saturday, June 26, 2010 1:35 AM GMT

Oh, I made "fansy" up, it's just "fan" with an added "sy". I wasn't meaning "fancy".
superdimensionmaster
#28050488Saturday, June 26, 2010 2:01 AM GMT

I know it's just the word "fan" with an added "sy", and I know you made it up. Online communication is hard. No, make that impossible. No communication ever happens online.
