Thesius I get up and put a small pouch of coins on the counter and left. I had to blink a few times to adjust to the light. I took a walk to the stables to see how my horse, Frost Fire, was doing. I got there and stroked its neck.

(Not really.) I quickly changed back to my bipedal form, as my natural form was too big a target. The bags dropped to the ground around me as I ran for cover.

Eldish blocked all of the punches and threw the man off. He picked up his shortsword and got ready to execute the leader. The others sheathed their weapons and just watched. Eldish was ready, but something held him back. He looked at the bandages, the bruises on the man, the scars. Hadn't he already suffered enough? Eldish looked around a bit until finally sheathing his sword and helping the man up. "Run off before ye get this stuck in yer heart. Ye don't deserve it, but I'm not going to make the same mistake my father did." Eldish threatened. The man ran off and the Drows followed suit.

I walked out from behind the tree I had taken cover behind, pulling a corpse. "This guy was planning on shooting us from behind." I threw him to the ground. "What was all that about anyway?"

Eldish hopped onto his horse. "Let's make haste and try not to get ourselves killed on the way. The village raiders might set it on fire if we're not fast ourselves, friend." Eldish kicked the horse lightly and it once again made way with the wood-elf.

(How would I get to the village if you did?) I heard a commotion not too far away to the east, and decided to find it. The noises got louder at one point, and then slowly faded before dissapearing completely. It was over by the time I got there. The corpse on the ground was sign of an apparent struggle, and hoof tracks went down the road. I felt in my pocket for the note, smiled that it was there, and took off down the road the tracks went.
