Elfish's friend checks the money and pours it into a large pile. He, the money, and Eldish were the only things in the cold, blank "hideout". He counts the money and smiles. "3 more gold pieces and we have ourselves a faction. You've outdone yourself this time, Aldrin." the friend announces excitedly.
(Aldrin is Elfish's fake name. Incase if someone were to be eavesdropping, his identity would remain within hand.) |

I walked out to the balcony, and inspected the ground below it. Good, the guard was patrolling towards the front gate today. I grabbed the edge of the balcony, swung my self over, and began climbing down. It was hard work for an elf like myself. When I had finally reached the yard below the balcony, I turned my hood up, opened a small gate in the fence, and blended in to the stream of oncoming Elves. |

Still in my natural form, I raise on my back legs, and use the front ones to kick the door down. As I do this, I grab a few throwing knives, and prepare to throw them. |

Nothing is to be seen in the farmhouse but a pile of dirty clothes on the ground and rubble. |
|

I cautiously made my way through the market next to my family's manor, and altered course towards the forest. |

(Quite a Deus Ex if I'm totally unable to find you. That item was going to lead to plot advancement.) |

(Well, wouldn't you try looking under the random, suspicious pile of clothes that leads to an underground hideout?) |

The friend sees a gleam from under Eldish. The ring. He picks it up and marvels at it. He would sell it for a mere three gold and start his faction. He lazily tosses it into the pile and rubs his brow. |

The main gate was in sight. I manuevered my way through the stream of people, trying to avoid attention. |

The high-elf walks up the stairs leading out and loosens the latch. He opens it up as clothes fall to the side. Once up, he comes face to face with a wood-elf. He stares blankly at him. |

I do not hesitate when a High Elf comes out of the pile of clothes, throwing my knives at him. |

"Argh!" the defenseless elf cries out as one catches him right in the stomach. He falls over, unsure if dead or not, but it is most likely. |

(Slow acting poison, easily reversed. Immense pain and paralysis at first, though. Fell down the stairs, or to the side?) |

(Looks dead, probably paralyzed, head is on the first step, but body is to the side.) |

I quickly shifted back into my bipedual form and bent down next to the body. It was rather visible that it was a High Elf. Unconscious, but alive. From my pack, I pulled a small bracelet and clamped it around his wrist. That would prevent him from using magic. Standing up, I continued down the stairs. |

Below is an underground hideout. All that is seen is a man by the apearance of the thief on the ground and a large pile of gold with a suspicious shimmer from the top. It looked like the ring. The thief also ad something valuable. Some kind of fingerpotion, as he calls it. Far back underground is a door covered in cobwebs and locks. There was also a jeweled hilt of a shortsword in his sheathe. A valuable weapon. |

Taking in my surroundings, I walk towards the thief. Also a High Elf? I take the same procautions as with the previous one, and the kick the elf in the side to try to wake him. |

The elf rolls over by the kick. The vial rolls out of his belt from this, while he remains in unconciousness. |

Clearly the elf wouldn't awaken. I walked away from him and to the pile of gold. My ring sat on the top, and I took it. The gold I would come back for later. |

The elf started shaking all of the sudden. His right eye was now half-opened. He slowly gets onto his back with pain in his face. He lets everything come into vision and then suddenly sees the wood-elf. He looks from the ring and back, while placing his hand on the hilt of his jeweled sword. He then looks to the left and sees his fingerpotion vial. He takes it and puts it back where it was on his belt. He had glass in his right leg from climbing through a window, aswell as beaten pink eyes filled with irritation and hurt. He was very lucky for surviving, but he was also weak from the drug. |

I turned away from the pile, intending to leave. I would come back for the rest later. As I turned though, I noticed that the elf was no longer there. I laughed slightly. High Elves took what health they had from their magic. With that bracelet on, he would be slowly drained of life. The bracelet only reacted to my own touch, as well. I walked back up the stairs, and changed back into my natural form. I picked up the body of the other High Elf, still clinging to life, and threw him across my back. I would hold him in captivity. |

(Sorry, Eldish was the one that awoke. The other is most likely dead.)
(Which one are you holding in captivity, then?) |
|
FirruuJoin Date: 2008-06-13 Post Count: 14856 |
(The other one. And he wouldn't be dead, the poison allows two hours before it starts to choke out life.) |
