well this is an idea that i thought of as i saw my brother play with his toy police car that had flashing lights. on roblox if you get a torch all it does is is put a yellow can-collide cone from the handle. thats it, not a very useful light really it doesnt do much like actually helping in a dark area. so i thought of a shine feature and also maybe a glow feature, thats when the cop lights came in, it would be much more better if the lights had this feature cause they would look realistic and actually shine on people like the sun does when it rises in day/night skyboxes. the glow feature would be really useful too for lava and such i would love these updates done, all you do really to put it on something is select it go into its settings stuff add "glow" or "shine" onto it and select the brightness and effect (effect is how far away you have to be to see it shining well)
so comment and put feedback and cons with this idea thx. |

decals and scripts are nothing, its nothing until its an actual feature in the game, i dont want to go making complex scripts and decals and stuff just so i can get a glowing effect off a lantern. i want to just select the part, add the feature onto it, adjust some settings and option and stuff, and thats it. a pretty lantern. |

If it is scriptable or akeable in anyway they ill not make it in 99.9% of cases as they see no point in adding the features.
Sorry but i have to say i dont support.

why does ROBLOX think that just because its scriptable they don't have to do it? i WANT this because i CANT script it. i don't know how! atleast 70% of the roblox population don't know how to make something shine or glow, thats why if its a feature then 100% of the roblox population will know! because its an easy to use feature such as smoke, and ROBLOX made smoke even though its a scriptable thing made by making grey spheres that can collide easy peasy, and they still made it, so why shouldnt they do this? |

How to make something glow :
Add a brick in the size you want the glow to be
add this script in it
while true do
script.Parent.Transparency = math.random(3,7)/10
wait(.75)
end |

yes tell that to the rest of the ROBLOX population. You cant get away from the fact that the excuse of "its scriptable blughdbuhfgbuharb" will not impress and is not winning. |
